  1. I had just finished assisting an obnoxious third year resident with a lady partsl swab he had just obtained from a patient. He touched his nose with the swab while performing the whiff test for trichamonis!!! It was so funny to see the panic on his face as he scrambled to wash his face!!! :chuckle
  2. :uhoh21: I think that's the scariest story I've ever heard? There's nothing worse than doing what's right and having co-workers misbehave without being reprimanded!! They should have been fired on the spot being asleep during their shift. Isn't that some sort of neglect?
  3. :sofahider Situations like that are exactly why I am leery of working in hospitals. There seems to be a lack of verbal communication between nurses. It's dangerous to assume that someone will recheck there assignment after their shift has begun. The other nurse should definitely be the one disciplined!!!
  4. :flowersfo Hi ya'll!!! Good to see there are some Oklahomans using this site!!!! I'm originally from Texas, but went to nursing school here in the Lawton-Ft. Sill area. I have been an LPN working in family medicine for four years. I am a single parent of four great kids. I have been taking some prerequesites at Cameron University and cannot decide whether to take the ADN or BSN track. I'm leaning toward the ADN because it's the shorter program and I figure I can work towards the BSN at a slower pace. Any advice???
