  1. LPN/LVN's are exempt from NC2, but don't know what NC2 consists of anyway. Can someone tell me? I want to make sure that I get the most out of this program. I just started with College Network on Sociology - it's hard to learn independent study - I've been signed on since the end of March and only a third of the way finished. Not a good start. I'm waiting for the remainder of my guides since I have to take some prereqs - micro, lifespan, english comp, sociology, NC's and foundations. I hope that's all besides CPNE. I also signed up for the NCLEX-RN which I understand is packed full of goodies. Later....
  2. write somewhat well with my left hand - print better with my right everything like sewing, IV's, etc. all with my right hand? what does that make me? the odd ball? :rotfl:
  3. I appreciate your response. I did sign on with College Network. I have about 4-5 prereqs to cover before starting with Nursing Concepts. Were the Nursing Concepts 1-7 more advanced than taking subjects for the LPN/LVN like Med-Surg, Material Health....etc. for the ADN or was the material the same? Appreciate your answer or anyone else. Thanks.
  4. Like to find out if anyone is new to College Network or has had sometime with their study guides? I'm working on sociology and have other prereqs to complete before the nursing concepts. On the issue of nursing concepts 1-7, why doesn't the LVN courses of med/surg, maternal health and psych count in our credits? Why are we having to repeat the courses? Is the concepts courses more advanced for the ADN program with Excelsior? Need to have some encouragement and advice. Thanks to all you fellow nurses.
  5. It doesn't matter what class you're in, CNA/LVN/ADN/BSN, etc., it's the person you are. You can actually be intelligent and not have a degree!!!! I'm an LVN and going into the ADN program. I love nursing and fully intend to pursue further for the sake of helping others - not to make a false impression or downgrade others for their lack of a title. I consider myself to be very sensible to talk to. Who do you think you are????
  6. i graduated in december and will be working evening shift. i'm signing up tuesday with college network. are you happy with them and do you feel that it's worth the expense? how are the study guides?
  7. I'm thinking about signing on with Excelsior for the ADN program :uhoh21: . has anyone gone through a publishing company to get the materials, (books/study guides) and then proceed to the admission process of Excelsior? I want to make sure that I'm not getting ripped off by either the publishing company who claims that I would have to fork out over $2,995 to be applied to Excelsior at my third nursing concepts course. And then, another says, $800. What's the truth here? Help with some direction. Thanks.
  8. Has anyone gone through a publishing company to move through the program of LVN to ADN/BSN to Excelsior? And what did you think about the program. I contacted two publishing companies who claim to provide all materials for study and want to know if this is a good idea or not. They claim they provide all the materials for studying and then at some point in time of the course, get signed on with Excelsior or like Indiana State University. Can publishing companies be trusted? Need to work and move forward. Thanks.
