LPN scope of practice for VA
The VA has different Step and Grade levels for LPNS, depending on your past experience. Imagine my surprise when I started almost 2 yrs ago. I indeed could not do an admit assessment as I was not an LPN 6 although I had been doing them for years elsewhere. I have since obtained my grade 6 level after becoming IV certified. Thanks to the training I received here. The VA in my experience is a good place to further your education and they encourage continuing education also. This was a good career move on my part. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me at [email protected] for further info. And by the way no we cannot work in a charge position.

Have you taken the LPN Board Exam??!!
HI, First of all TAKE a deep breath and RELAX!!! Both books you are using are fine. It's been awhile since I took my boards (1988) I honestly can't remember any questions specific to any blood disorders, although I'm sure there were. I DO remember that on one particular question myself and 3 others gave 4 different answers. We had 4 choices and none of us agreed to what each other answered. We spoke to our Instructor and she acknowledged that they all could be correct depending on the situation and assessment. We all did pass. Yes you are expected to be a little nervous, I'd be concerned if you weren't. Lots of luck to you and I hope you enjoy your Nursing career as much as I have. Remember to RELAX !!
