  1. Congrats on the great news guys! Just a side note in reference to the CPR certification, make sure its AHA (American Heart Association).
  2. Not sure how they are doing it for this year, but last year it was a group interview held in the auditorium. All the applicants that received a letter were all seated together. We were then asked a question and we had to go up in front of everyone and answer it. There's going to be different questions. The first 10 gets the same question, the next 10 get another question and so on. The math and essay should be a walk in the park. As far as getting accepted, you're pretty much in, once you receive the letter. Congrats guys!
  3. @eshabsha yeah, currently in my 2nd semester. 113 isn't bad. What's your GPA looking like? Did you go through the interview process yet? If I recall correctly, we were all interviewed in the auditorium. Those who were accepted officially were mailed a letter sometime in May. Best of luck!
  4. Think you still got a fair shot at the program. Just make sure you score high on the NLN! Preferably 120+, but I believe anything above 100 will we considered (well...at least for last year)
  5. Took ap2 at mec and they used seeleys 9th edition. Believe the book covers ap 1 & 2. A friend of mine took ap1 there and took ap2 with me and used the same book.
  6. I agree with bubbly. Maybe we are blowing this out of proportion. We should wait till we get solid info like bubbly mentioned. Naturally, we are all anxious to know if we got accepted or not. But there's nothing we can do but wait and keep calm. Life is full of uncertainty, so it isn't wise to put all your eggs in one basket. This was my Plan B. I am waiting on my Plan A as well. I grew sick of all this waiting, so I am putting my Plan C in action and perhaps plan D. Its always good to have a backup, as it will ease your mind.
  7. So...goldwater and manhattan is out? The only option is brooklyn?!? if thats true, then thats pretty nuts! yikes! confirmed: https://www.facebook.com/MidManhattanLPNProgramAlumni
  8. I know that experience plays a key role in getting hired. What is considered experience? Any job in the medical field? If you don't mind me asking, what are you currently doing at your job? I recently finished my CNA/PCT courses and will be taking my certification exams shortly. Will being a CNA/PCT play a crucial role of me getting hired in the future?
  9. quite a read. So, if I'm understanding correctly...theres only 40 seats available? or 40 seats were available for the prep course?
  10. haha..have positive thoughts!! I'm sure we'll all get in.
  11. its all good . Many programs don't allow students to retake courses. I think KBCC was on that list, but I'm not certain. I'll definitely followup on it. Thanks jess!
  12. Anyone knows if it is possible to get into the program if you had failed ap1 the first time and passed the second time around? I took the class both times at kbcc a few years back. Want to see what my options are if I dont get in the program at my current college. Thanks in advance.
  13. I'm also waiting for the DOE LPN letter of acceptance. I took 2 tests as well. The CNET and TEAS. I flunked the reading part on the CNET but was given an opportunity to take the TEAS.
  14. Haha. Im on the same boat! Waiting for mec as well as nyc doe lpn. Goood luck!
  15. I called them a few weeks ago. They said regardless of whether you get in or not, you will receive a letter. Fingers crossed for the good news!
  16. Im also waiting for an official reply. Im currently waitlisted ;(
  17. Congrats! Im still waiting for my letter...dont think i got in. Are there letters of rejections? So i can know for sure that I got rejected?
  18. Any fall 2013 applicants received any letters yet? The anticipation is nerve racking!
  19. Were you offered a chance to take the Teas? For the cnet test, I failed one section and passed the other two. I was given a chance to take the teas on a probational basis.
