Been Hospice nurse for over 10 years. I would be surprised if you were hired as an admission nurse. Nothing against you. Its just you have to have a very good understanding of how hospice works. Plus the admission nurse is under stress a lot. you may have 2 or3 admits a day. Admits are from 2 to 4 hours long. I would start out as a field nurse. But if your getting burnout on at the bedside care wait to you do the dying bedside care. You get very attached to the patients and the family are very demanding. I some time call the care. ICU at home care.

Your first mistake was you applied through the facility web site. You need to sign up with a travel company. But it will be to late there. Most places make you wait a certain time after not working for them be for you can come in as a traveler. Sorry

Hey do travel it pays great. Work is everywhere. Even where you are. You are free to do it. Jump on its a no lose thing. If you don't like a place you know you can move on in a few months.

Do the Travel Nurse jobs in Cal. It pays great and there is always jobs. Plus housing is payed for and transportation on most assignments. I wouldn't do it any other way.
