  1. jules2, Where are you in Oregon? This is so exciting. How did you see the curriculum? I have not yet been able to find it. I know I have taken graduate courses from another university and they do not transfer over. I cannot yet send personal messages. Is there a way to send an email to contact you directly? I am not sure if I would get in trouble for posting my personal email address. Julie
  2. Jules2, I am still attending and living in Oregon. Yay, we will certainly meet!!!! Julie
  3. Future, I tried to respond to your PM, but I am unable as I have not had enough postings. Duke has consistently ranked in the top of the nation for years. I have found many reviews, just not on this site. I am FT distance.... I hope you accept too. I was accepted into every program I applied for and this seemed to be the best fit for me. Julie
  4. Tom, Ugh. I am sorry. Really sad face. Julie
  5. Future, YAY!!!!! I am thrilled to have a classmate! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Julie
  6. Tom, Not me....but I would love to meet you! Excitedly awaiting your exceptance! Julie
  7. Tom, I was on campus on Wednesday and have long, blond, curly hair. I spent Wednesday with my son (13 yo) walking the campus after my interview. He flew down with me and we enjoyed the bonding time. I look forward to meeting you. It would be nice to have someone from the west coast in class. I did accept the the offer. Keep me posted...... Julie
  8. Tom, I believe you are going for the DNP and in the past that decision has taken longer. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! Wishing you a safe flight. You live kind of close....I am in Oregon. Julie
  9. I am so very sorry to hear that some of you did not get accepted. Tom, I was accepted to the distance, FT FNP MSN program and my Self-Service has the same list we always see to the right and under Review Financial Aid there is View Decision. This takes me to the acceptance letter. Again, I am very sorry Silva and Jayne and mkrist, but I do know they have accepted students in the past that were on the wait list. I wish the absolute best for you!!!
  10. I was accepted into the ADN/RN-MSN, but do not think I am going to accept. I have not spoken with anyone from the school and did not have an interview, but I was sent an email and paperwork a few days ago. I was accepted into their online program. I just got accepted into Thomas Jefferson University and I will probably go there. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
  11. Did you apply to WesternU? I applied for the Summer 2013, the ADN to MSN program. I also applied to 3 others. I think I will hear back from this school first as it starts in the summer.
  12. Our new grads and new hires to our ICU have to take the AACN course and it has been very helpful. I was on orientation for about 3 months and had to know my rhythms and drips before that time was up. But, I had several years of nursing experience. But, hands on experience was the greatest tool. I worked with experienced co-workers too and they helped and taught me a lot. I never felt alone. Good luck. You will do well because you want to be successful!
