So dangerous! I would never leave the pt. our facility protocol is to stabilize the neck, evaluate the pt. take vitals then get the pt up and call the doctor and family. The incident report would tell the DON what happened in the am I see no need in calling her
  2. Well he's not back today so I guess they are keeping him there are 5 new admits tonight and one is another craniotomy I'm excited to work with the pt!!!
  3. No your correct I'm sorry I meant 11 yesterday 7 today
  4. We'll the pt LOC decreased couldn't even fallow simple commands! Pt just kept staring off huge difference from yesterday so I got the order and sent him out! I get another craniotomy next week though I read online there head should never be down. To monitor glascow coma scale regularly yesterday it was 11 today I would say 15 so big decrease!!
  5. Hi! I'm a LVN in a SNF. I just got a new admit and they have a craniotomy I also have another craniotomy pt coming in next week. I'm trying to find out specifics on nursing interventions I should be aware of this is my first time dealing with a pt with a craniotomy
  6. Hi I'm in galveston Texas I got my license April 2013. I had little to no experience. I got hired at a facility on the island on the skilled floor. The only reason I got the interview is by knowing someone who already worked there. My advice walk into every long term care facility with your resume drop it off and fill out a application then keep checking up on it so they no your serious. Good luck!
  7. O haha that makes sense they were very hard I can't even explain it really but if you know your pt teaching and meds and side effects therapeutic effects you will be fine

  14. So im confused I took the NCLEX VN test yesterday and waited 3 hours to do the PVT and got the good pop up my test stopped at 85... probably 50 questions were select all that apply med questions... 5 place in order questions... and read charts... look at pictures ... it was so hard i thought i failed forsure... so even though I got the good pop up it can still mean I didnt pass??? Im confused??? Also I live In CA so theres no quick results here ...
