  1. This may have already been brought up..... Informing your manager should be considered. If this former patient is persistently pestering you, he could be problematic down the line. Getting "in front" of the situation is a respectable move. Situations like this can twist and turn in directions never imagined. You'll want to protect yourself and your career. I hope it works out well for you.
  2. I'm in need of advice. I became an LPN in 2001 at 23 years of age. I went on to complete a B.S. in Health Administration, emphasizing health care infrastructure and quality(class of 2011). I will be finished with my ASN from Excelsior College in 2018. I've worked med surg, rehab, neuro, geriatrics, and most recently EHS/OSHA compliance for the past six years. Part of me still longs to work "mandatory" new grad stint of MedSurg nights. I'm entering my 40s. While I've aged, I feel my perspective is youthful and my skills have matured. BSN is in the future, but I'd still give a try to land an acute care job with an ASN. Has anyone started such an adventure mid life? All opinions are welcome.
  3. She considered patient safety first. Bravo.
  4. I'm also in MI. I did GRCC back in 2001 and Ferris State University in 2011. Have you looked into Montcalm Community College or Kellogg Community College? Ferris also has a traditional BSN program that many people commute to. You'd be surprised at the options many people get into just to finish.
  5. Thank you! Will try!
  6. Any advice in downloading the files to iTunes or a Nook?
  7. TCN is a SCAM and not endorsed by Excelsior. You will have better luck using the recommended textbooks from the college and StudyGroup 101. I've even used a later edition of the recommended textbooks and done quite well. Check your contract and exit NOW!!!
