  1. Hey I am taking mine pretty soon as well. I won't say when. I said I'm not telling anyone. I'll just let everyone know when I pass. This is my second time. Personally, I think that NCLEX was nothing like Saunder's. Everyone says it is...So, this time I am using a little of Saunder's, Mosby, Kaplan, and Medspub to study. A friend of mine did the same thing. She went last month. She passed on the first try. And, she says she thinks thats what helped her. And she agreed that Saunder's seemed a little more easier than boards. But, different strokes for different folks. I feel as long as you do about 100 questions a day, you'll be fine. I'll pray for you, and you do the same for me.
  2. I truely am going to take all of this advice into consideration.
  3. I did about 800 questions. I could've done more, but I had a lot going on. So, I guess it was partly my fault.
  4. Thanks Brandi. Keep me in your prayers...
  5. :) Hello everyone. I am so depressed. I'm here and LPN for two years. I took boards on Monday 9/12/05. They were so hard. I'm an Ortho nurse. I had so many select all that apply questions. I HATE those type questions, because if you don't select everything the whole thing is wrong. I had 1 fill in the blank, which was a math question ( I know I got that one right). Then I had so many Neuro questions. I was about to freak out. I ended up getting 75 questions. So, I must've been doing very bad. I just can't believe it. A classmate of mine that went to LPN school with me took her boards that day too. After the test, we talked over the questions and the answers I told her I put along with the choices I had, she would've put the same thing. And, I felt the same way about her questions. She had 75 too. So, to make a long story short she ened up passing and I didn't. I feel so bad about it. But, I know God knows best. I just don't understand. I do however need some help on studying. We have to wait 45 days, and I'm going back as soon as I can. I have a Saunder's book, Kaplan, and ERI book from a review course we took before finishing school. I feel so overwhelmed. What should I do??? I need help.
  6. Good for you!!! So, how is home health nursing working with your ankle? I have hip problems. I'm an ortho nurse, and am thinking about transferring to the Home Health department.
  7. Thats true. If you don't pass, just try again. I know two females who failed their RN boards the first time. They took them a couple of weeks ago, and passed. One had 135 questions, and the other one had 265. I even know an excellent RN who has been a nurse for about 20 years, and I heard she took boards 6 times. So, think positive.
  8. Well, how are your hips now?
  9. I agree!!! :chuckle
  10. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: I'll be taking my RN boards this year as well. Do you have any suggestions? Do you remember what kind of questions you have? Where are you located?
  11. I agree. We use barcodes at the hospital I work for. There is NO WAY of getting around it.
