As a mom, I have been dealing with this issue. My youngest, who is now 5 1/2 y/o will hold his BM, until he goes in his underpants. He will then go to the bathroom and dump it into the toilet. I have even made him clean his own underpants, as well. I spoke to his doctor about it, and she suggested fiber for constipation (as simple as it sounds). He takes fiber gummies twice a day, and has not had trouble since! I would never expect his school to figure it out. He has only had one accident at school, though. Hope this helps! I know it can be frustrating for all involved.

Nevermind! We got an updated letter today. Lol

I have not done anything, yet. I am going to drop mine off on Thursaday. Did you notice that the orientation date reads: Wed & Thurs April 18 & 19 ....but April 18th and 19th are thurs and Fri. according to my calender. lol Sooooo ...Idk. There isn't a number or email on the letter, either.

I believe it's April 17 and 18. I don't have the letter on me right now, though. Thanks again!

I have been told that it's easy to get into the program, as long as you have a LPN license. However, I've read on past threads that some people have recieved denial and alternate letters for the program. I have a pretty good GPA, so I can't really say if it's easy or not. My overall GPA is 3.5 and my prereq GPA is 3.7.

Thank you!! It was in a standard, white envelope with a HCC' name in the top left corner. Below it there was a stamp in black ink which read, "Health Science Admissions Office." That's when I dropped all my belongings to the ground, held my breath, and opened my letter right there on the porch!! HAHA

Hello everyone!!! I just want to let you all know that I got my admittance letter for the LPN-RN transition program starting this summer (yaayyyy!!). I'm guessing that means you all will be getting your letter soon for Fall start! GOOOOOOOD LUCK!!!!

Got my letter and I have been admitted!!!! Omg! Hope everyone got theirs too! ?

Expectations of doing more for less work is everywhere. However, not all careers involve caring for the LIVES of others. This is what's unfortunate about nursing.

I was reading one of the HCC Fall 2013 threads and saw someone post something about having a friend who use to work in the health sciences dept and how they have new people working there. They say it can take up to 12 weeks from Jan 15th deadline, but usually they figure it out before then. Being that there are new staff, it may take the full 12 weeks. I looked on the calender and that would take us to April 9th!!! I'm going to try MY BEST to not think about it!! lol

Still, no letter.

I just checked my web advisor and I am still listed as an "applicant" too. I have not received any emails, either. I was hoping that they would send out the letter prior to SB, so that we'd receive them over break. I was dissapointed to not hear anything. Hopefully we will get a letter this week!!! *fingers crossed* I am not going to register for anything this summer other than nursing (given I get accepted); so, I'm not worried about any classes filling up. I'm getting reallyyyyyyyyyy anxious here!!! I checked the link that was posted from ratemyprofessor.com and I don't think it was too bad. She seems like a reasonable teacher, but the material is difficult. I already expect that, so here's to 3 semesters of "READ, STUDY, READY, STUDY" ..CHEERS!!!! lol p.s. I checked web advisor and didn't see anything listed for Nursing Process I.

I guess it was a computer glitch, because everything is now showing received!!! Yayyyy!! Now, if only I could receive my letter!

I have also seen in other threads, mid-February and mid-March. I have been running to my mailbox everyday after work!!! lol I checked with an advisor prior to turning in my application, and they said everything was good to go. When I saw that on web advisor, I called and a lady took a message and said someone will contact me regarding it. Then, I got an email saying they cannot answer my question via email, and that I need to go into advising to check on documents needed. Web advisor states that Admissions is who is requesting it "ASAP" ....sooooo I'm running in circles. I am hoping that it IS just a computer glitch!! Glad to meet some people who are applying -even if it is online.

My web advisor shows that my application has been received. Although, it states my HCC application, nursing pre reqs, and HS transcript have not been received. I don't know if I should call about this or not. Before dropping off my nursing application, I spoke with advising and they stated that every thing was good to go.

I'm glad everything was OK for you! Does it show received under "Documents"? I checked mine and it doesn't show anything, yet. I know they must have got it because I dropped it off in person. I'm really, really anxious. lol Did you apply to SPC, as well?
