  1. "Of course I know what it's like to work my tail off and only my boss gets the credit... I'm an ELF!"
  2. You can challenge the grade. Make the effort, worst case is your B+
  3. Lol hey I'm a PRE nursing student. Tell me, what is a clinical, what goes on, what should I expect, and are they graded? How are they graded? Is homework issued at clinicals? ThAnks!!!
  4. I'm finding that I'm having trouble pronouncing some of the new terms when I haven't heard them before. But once I've caught someone else saying the word or ask, It makes perfect sense and sticks! Is there any web resources you'd recommend to aid with these medical terms and their proper pronunciation, perhaps with a audio examples? Thanks!
  5. Take a look at the Audiomemos app. It allows you to also download recorded files to your comp via wifi. I found the apple stock recorder too heavy for storage and editing. Take a look its free
  6. I'm taking microbiology and a physiology class next semester. I want to form a study group for these two classes to help stay focused and to pass! Has anyone ever formed a study group? If so how did you advertise it? Did you just announce it in front of class? Have the instructor make an announcement? Thanks for your input!!! -L
  7. Clinical start for me CNA in the Summer of 2013. I always wondered about attachment. Thanks!
  8. To get into the RN to BSN program down the road, I need to take a lab based Physiology and lab based anatomy class rather than the A&P combo option for non-transfer students. Do I have any apprehensions with taking Physiology before Anatomy to worry about? -L
  9. . Great job in school, I'll look to duplicate your efforts in my next few years!
  10. Depending on their origins, it may be perfectly acceptable culturally to share the same room especially if their primary motivation is education and shared expense and not procreation.
  11. (Checking out the male nurse sections, seems to be a hot topic!)
  12. Hi everyone on this forum! I'm proud to announce that I begin Prenursing the Spring of 2013 at a local community college. I had always wanted to be a part of the medical field and even volunteered at my local hospital's ER back when I was in high school. But family pressure as well as instructors who knew me pushed me into the computer engineering field. I hated it. Still hate it today. So before I get older and become hopelessly lost, I have entered the field that I always dreamed of. After reading a few threads here, I feel I need to also state that I'm not gay but rather happily married :). My wife is in full support of my career change, makes enough money where I am able to quit my job, and move forward full time. I plan to go ANS LVN and complete a bridge to RN in a total of 6 semesters. My GE during my CE studies require I take only chem, p&a, and critical thinking before applying for the nursing program. Depending on how quickly I find a job after the RN bridge, I may enter an online RN to BSN immediately. I do not know what will happen after that! I look forward to joining the ranks! -L
