NVCC Nur Program-Withdraw, No Way!!
Never give. I am currently enrolled in an Anatomy class and can I tell you I had no idea it was this hard. It is consuming all my time. I was very discouraged about my first test score which was a 71.5%. I am more of a visual learner than a book learner. I wanted to give up, but I did not and my second test I got a 87% which 1/4 was mutilply choice and the rest was on the bones. Now I am on to the muscles. I feel overwhelmed all the time and my suggestion it to take it one step at a time, for your study groups and get tutoring. That is what I have done and I have improved a great deal. I am working towrds a grade in the 90's for my next test which is Monday. Take care and I wish you all the luck in the world. Most administrators are only worried about numbers. You will find ones that really care. Carla

Less Applicants for Nursing Programs?
In California there are 17,000 nursing students waiting to get into school and not enough schools. Myself, I am moving to Pittsburgh to go to school because I can get into a school there. In California at some of the colleges it is a lottery and if your grades are not perfect you cannot get in.

HELP! I DON"T WANT TO GO THROUGH CNA first...
I have my CNA/HHA and I love it. You get to work work one on one with patients and are really able to get to know them and take care of there needs. I am also going to school for my RN. You must be compassionate and be able to handle ALL tasks or otherwise how can you become a nurse. I would think about it longer if I were you. Being a nurse entails total care. I am soooo glad that I became a CNA/HHA and I love it and the realtionships with my patients are irreplacebale. I treasure all of them. You really have to be a certain kind of person to be a nurse. If you do not have that special something then find another profession. Good luck to you.

New nurse blues
Fear is the devil's way of trying to get us out of our destiny and whatever blessings that God has for us that day. God has a plan for you. If you remember that you are working for God and all He expects is for you to to your best. The rest will fall into place. When you start to feel fearful tell the devil to get behind you and ask God for his guidence.
