  2. Is there a way to see if there is any work in your area before going through all these hoops for nothing possibly? I am also wondering if they will make me work as an lpn since ive had my RN license less tha 8 months..
  3. i am hoping by now you received an answer either way. from what i have read it does not pinpoint weaknesses and amount of sata doesnt reflect performance anymore. i just found out as of last year sata can actually be all right or just one answer so i dont get how they are really sata anymore. you can also pass or fail at 75 i have been told and have seen. i hope you passed. positive thoughts your way. msg me if you didnt. i have some material that may be helpful.
  4. ive been questioning if the u world assessment scores were a good indicator or not but they seem to be.. did good on the first one with a higj chance of passing 53 and that was not answering 11 since i ran out of time. i just read on u world that as of last year now on nclex sata can be all right or just one answer..?! did anyone else know this??
  5. yes uworld is great and nclex mastery is great for budget reasons as well.
  6. email me at [email protected] and i will give u some valuable information. i was 2 yrs put with my lpn nclex and very frustrated. got past it and i am now getting ready to take the rn one here shortly. wish i had found this info when i was studying for the lpn.

  9. hello, I am new to this site as far as posting. I just moved to Oregon from Northern Ca (Humboldt County)..may I ask where you are roughly looking for a job? That might alter my answer to this post. Anyways, nothing is stupid at this point in my opinion. I mean, a job is a job in this community right? At the end of the day, whatever brings home the money. There are so many college students out there who are being forced into a job not using their degree and being forced to pay back their school loans at the same time. Volunteer always looks good. One thing I really learned in a small community, everyone knows everyone which means, you will make connections to other job opportunities when you land a job-regardless of where it is. Sometimes, a person's strong work ethic screams volumes and people talk. I am currently in a nursing program, but I made valuable connections when I applied for a job as a medical assistant in a busy surgical practice, I didnt know anything, they trained me and I learned so much that is being discussed in my program now plus I made huge connections with the hospital so if I ever move back to the area, I learn who to talk to regarding employment. So I hope this helps ease your mind. Hang in there and good luck. It is amazing to me how many new grad nurses are having a hard time finding a job and yet we have a shortage on nurses..go figure.
  10. Glenna, I am new to this site but I noticed you received your LPN through IOT Salem. I am in my first week there and would like to get an opinion of the program from someone who has completed it, etc. any way to make contact? thx
