So far so good...week 1was ok, quiz was fine...still working on that paper...but overall it's been ok....

I will be starting June 30 as well...yeah, that syllabus was scary!!! I've been trying to get a head start, picked my concept and found 15-20 articles to look over, but still feel a bit overwhelmed!

Research...ugh....just saying the word out loud makes me throw up a little in my mouth...keep us posted about how it goes, I'm interested to see how it compares to the undergrad research class (which was a disaster!). I'm taking 5327 in a couple of weeks followed by the dreaded research after that...

I have heard the same thing from some on-campus students... I have been scouting out preceptors already, have secured some good leads so far, but we will see if they pan out...

How long will that route take?

I know the notification was a bit late, but considering the deadline for all supporting docs was just a week and a half ago, this wasn't a bad turn around. A few of the other programs I was looking into we're taking apps for August of next year, so I was ecstatic that they had a deadline to start so soon, some others were accepting for January, but I really wanted to start as soon as possible, and now I get to start in a couple of weeks...I've been saving money since April just in case so that I could fund the first class then let loans and reimbursement take over from there...I totally beside myself with excitement...

I guess it's better than twice that much every 5 weeks... I am going to have to take out loans to subsidize the expense...and add in tuition reimbursement to help a bit too...this is one of the least expensive programs from reputable schools that I found...it's going to be tough, but totally worth it...I WANT THAT DAMN FUNNY HOOD!!!

A friend of mine in the program said she bought the book "clinical pathophysiology made incredibly simple" for patho and she said the book was extremely helpful...I just ordered it on amazon...

Just looked at the degree plan...UTA now has a 1 class at a time plan as well as a 2 class at a time plan!!!!

Oh believe me, I have some too! 2 classes at a time will be daunting while working full time ( I don't have the option of either going PT or not working...). So I am going to have to buckle down and just do it!

Yes...I stopped checking website after 5...but got an email at 8:00 tonight...then checked website and it said acceptance granted...

I'm in...what a load off...

Still no word!! I'm going nuts over this...

I havent heard anything yet either! But maybe they are notifying people now!!! I hope to hear something very soon!

Chamberlain did look promising...but I didn't want to miss out on tuition reimbursement at work, so I've got to stay with a program that my work recognizes...because the one class at a time sounds VERY nice!!!

It depends on your start date...they started with only 35 students and are increasing the number by about 20 with each start date...I applied for June 30 start and I think they are accepting between 80-90 students...the august start will probably have 100-110ish, and so on...I haven't heard what their eventual cap will be.

Univ of texas at Arlington has online MSN programs, good, fairly inexpensive (although for out of state it may be a bit high) and can get you through in about 2 years. UT Tyler the same...I've looked into U of Cincinnati and it looks like a decent program too...U of S Alabama is another one...I have been steering clear of the for-profits because of the cost and possible hurdles with preceptors...I think an online school that is part of a brick and mortar university would be a better choice...but not all programs are available to all states so you need to research which ones will accept Mass.

Oh...that's all I need is a delay in notification...I'm about to go crazy as it is! Checking my mymav acct 5-10 times a day already...I need a hobby.

I'm sure they have already started reviewing apps...not sure how long they will really take, but was told somewhere around the 15...but deadline for traditional is the 15th, so if I don't hear something soon I'll apply for traditional just to try to keep options open...live in Dallas so the commute won't be so bad for me...

You are talking about traditional, on-campus program, right? That was what I heard about fall was a June 15 deadline for applications and a July 1 deadline for supporting docs. If I don't get an acceptance into online program by the 10-12th of June, I'm going to apply for the fall traditional program, I just graduated from uta rn-bsn in May, so they have all my info already, so I'm not sure about your issue with transcript, I would call either uta or the sender of the transcript to investigate.

That has to be such a relief that you have at least one option. Unfortunately I put all my eggs in uta's basket so now I must continue to wait...ugh!

Thats great!!! Hopefully you will have to make a decision! Im just as anxious as ever. TWUis a wonderful school though...Dallas or Denton campus?
