Only 2 hrs in some of the er's I've worked at that would have been a 12-18 hr wait....

I worked for Optum for 2 yrs. and left... very lg call volume and very structured, you have specific times to take your breaks. Not always when you feel you may need one.. All in all not a bad place to work.

do a google search for ceu, free... there are a lot of sites that have them... they are only 1 - 3 ceu's each but they only take a little time.. I can do 2-3 an evening while I am doing triage calls.

What do you mean pay.. I truly don't think they have any intention of paying for the visits or the ambulance rides. Even if there is a co pay, :angryfire they tell the billing dept they didn't bring any money they get treated and when the bill is sent it is placed in the round file. :angryfire 18 yrs er nursing
