  1. Everyone will tell you no....not to be rude or unhelpful but because they want you to get a face to face interview...so go to a hospital or nursing home to talk to a nurse...good luck!!!!
  2. If this is the first class get the book "fundamentals success" newest version it helped me...GOOD LUCK!!!
  3. I find this very hard to believe.....right now most accredited nursing BSN programs require the same text for fundamentals of Nursing which is 50chapters and like 3 to 4 inches thick(very intimidating) but chapters are only about 15 pages long but it is still a lot of info to cover...the fact that your professor said "that one didn't read the syllabus" means that you missed something...find out from your classmates...Good Luck
  4. Well, my fundamentals professor gave us all nclex questions for our test....in other words, you need to comprehend the assigned chapters...with her test questions it might have been two to three concepts in one question so you must understand and apply all concepts so just focusing on main concepts would help but to be successful you have to read it all...link them all....and repeat it all... My first class was challenging but it depends on your school...good luck!!!
  5. I know what you mean...some people only know how to tell you what to do but a real teacher guides and watch you learn and problem solve on your own...i wouldn't want someone to tell me what to do everytime...if it keeps up by the time you are on your own you won't recall anything...
  6. If you are just starting out i would suggest to get your schedule in check but that would go for anyone...being a single mom is hard but it is apart of your life that is not going to change...on the other hand, the book, fundamental succes helped me tremendously in my first nursing course...good luck!!!
