  1. Not even 30 hours later and it is up on breeze already!
  2. Also, do you know how select all that apply questions work on nclex? Is it like normal and only 1 point per question or do they give you some credit for part of the answer? Because almost half of my exam was SATA and it really beat my confidence down to the ground! My friend only had 8 SATA yesterday. So I just felt like that was random and wonder why I got so many?
  3. Thank you for the responses... I still have the good pop up 24 hours after... But I am skeptical. Won't believe it until I see the pass! What confuses me is how people pass the first score and fail the 2nd score and vice versa. Like if the computer determined with 95% accuracy either way, then it seems weird how the results can be switched sometimes.
  4. So if you do PVT 12 hours later... is it more accurate? (I am sure not to believe it before 24 hours) Seriously, how is anyone satisfied with not fully understanding WHY the exam is scored 2x? That **** baffles me.
  5. Hi there! I took my nclex today. What a beast of an exam. 30-35 select all that apply. 1 ekg/med SATA, tons of meds... It sucked. It stopped at 75 and I was like "no. but WAIT... Let me prove myself!" 😭 said I wouldnt do the PVT, but I did. Got the good pop up... And I totally know there is a chance it might be a bad pop up tomorrow 😭 but my question is: so, the exam is scored twice... But how? What makes them change a fail to a pass? Or a pass to a fail? Is it because they can tell if you were going to pick another answer? Is their test and items written wrong? Does a person go over it and decide? I just see everyone and the website say it is scored 2x, and would like to know if anyone knows what that really means? Sorry for the grammar issues. On phone and brain isn't working anymore today lol
  6. Peds!!! Class kicked my butt. Managed a B, which is an A to me in that case. And I LOVED it. I want to be a Peds nurse. But it was hard as hell.
  7. Thank you so much for your responses! I really appreciate it.
  8. Hello! I am trying to write my care plan on my pediatric patient who had a bone marrow transplant, and I am really having a hard time with one of the drugs the patient is on. I asked the nurse and I did not really receive an explanation. Then, I went to Davis Drug guide and there is not a pediatric dose for amlodipine... so I am having a hard time! We have to put the purpose specific to that patient... and it was my first and only experience in oncology ever. So I am not familiar with the way any of these drugs work. If you know or can direct me in the right direction, I will be forever thankful! There are several drugs that I am having difficulty with and I really want to do well on this care plan.
  9. I have one! I am on my 2nd and going to be ordering the 3rd in November. It is the best planner! My favorite thing about it is that is separates morning, day, and evening. All the space allows me to write down all my assignments and reading info. I also love the stickers and the positive quotes throughout the book. We can all use a little positivity in nursing hell! :)
  10. I am a current WCU student about to enter OB/Peds rotation. Some words of advice to everyone... DO NOT FAIL any classes. Save the fails for around Med Surg 2 when it gets crazy. I have not failed anything and do not plan on it, but it is nice to know that I have a "cushion". I have lost MANY friends starting in Med Surg 1, and every term we lose a few more. It is very difficult. I have learned so much and I love it, but be prepared to hand over your life to this school once core starts! It goes by so fast, I have less than a year left now. Good luck everyone!!! :)
  11. Congratulations on getting in! So awesome. My biggest piece of advice is to relax while you still can. I wish someone emphasized that more before I started. There is no time to just relax anymore. It goes so fast, just give it everything you have! Good luck :)
  12. Hello there! So I am going to be starting my Peds and OB rotation next month and needless to say, I am freaking out. They say it is the hardest term at school. Anyone have any recommendations for books? Study habits? How are clinicals on a pediatric unit? OB? I just do not know what to expect and I am a lot more anxious/nervous about being around kid patients than I am on a med surg floor around my adult patients. Thank you!
