  1. Start studying the muscles and their origins, insertions, and actions. I took A&P1 and 2 in a mini-term semester. The muscles are the most time consuming in my opinion. The leg muscles are the worst I think. The bones and their markings/structures are a good place to pay some early attention to as well. Make lots of notecards, they help. I finished A&P 1 with an A average and I am halfway through part 2 with an A avg also. Good Luck!
  2. I am in Alabama and applying to NWSCC and Calhoun. Already turned in applications and hopefully will start ADN classes in August. I won't find out until the summer. Good luck to you too!
  3. I am taking A&P 1 and 2 right now in one semester. I don't work but I have three kids. We have already had 2 lecture tests covering 9 chapters and 2 lab practicals(class just started January 9th). I have managed to keep an A+ average in there. I study some but not near as much as I should. It's quick and hectic but can definitely can be done!
  4. I am taking A&P 1 and 2 with lab this spring in miniterms. 8 weeks for each course. We started January 9th and have already had two tests(1 lab and 1 lecture) and fixing to test on the next unit. Also I am taking Math 100 and Human Development. It's alot of work but manageable.
  5. Thanks everyone! It's so good to hear such encouraging words of advice from complete strangers. I really hope I get into the RN program that I turned the application in for today!
  6. Thanks for the encouraging words! Good luck to you as well!
  7. Thank you both. I have vitiligo and some days it doesn't bother me at all and I could care less about. Then some days I worry myself sick over it. I guess I worry because it is such a rare condition. I have only seen about 3 other people with it in my entire life.
  8. Hey all! I am taking the last of my prereqs for my area's RN program right now. I am very excited at the thought of getting into nursing school and becoming a RN. I have a 4.0 GPA and like going to school. I have always wanted to be a nurse. I dropped out of high school when I was a teenager for no good reason. Now, at the age of 30 I have gotten my GED and I am enrolled in my third semester of college. However, I have a medical condition that is very embarassing. It's only cosmetic, but I constantly worry that this will prevent me from following my dream. Anyone have any advice for a hopefully soon to be nursing student about the situation? Thanks!
