  1. I think you should wait at least until wed to call back since she said a week. It takes a while to do background check and references. If she just got back yesterday I would at least wait til thur to call her again.
  2. Congrats! I thought the good pop up was false too when waiting for results. I was out of the test after 75 q and 45 minutes. I thought I didn't take my time and was just clicking when looking back at the test. Luckily my name was on the BON the next day granting permanent license. the pop up works! :)
  3. My thank you letters are usually something similar to this: Dear (Interviewer), Thank you for interviewing me on (Date). I enjoyed meeting with you and appreciate the courtesy you extended to me. My interview experience was very positive. I very much enjoyed speaking with you about the opportunity to work with your company in the role of a (Position title). (Company Name) is an impressive organization. It was a pleasure to meet with you, and I appreciate your consideration of me as a candidate. I am look forward to hearing from you soon. Once offered a position you can ask for a tour and for a couple of days to decide if you want the position.
  4. Well I had my LTC interview and was given a tour by the recruiter, then talked to the DON. She wants me to shadow next week to see if working there is something I really want to do. I find this a great experience since in nursing school I didn't receive a LTC clinical rotation. Not any questions though. Thanks for the great advice on the questions. I will use these to prep for my oncology interview this week :)
  5. I have two interviews coming up for RN positions. One is for a nursing home, and the other an oncology/palliative care floor. The first interview coming up is the nursing home. I have had two interviews at nursing homes before, but never offered a job. I was only asked two questions at both interviews: when did I graduate, and am I licensed. I felt I was interviewing the managers. Asking questions like nurse-patient ratio, what type of patients mostly seen, how long is orientation. I don't know how I was not offered the jobs seeing as they only based me on 2 questions. I want to know what kind of questions they will ask at this next nursing home interview. The second interview is for an oncology/palliative care floor. I first have a phone interview with an HR recruiter. I have no clue what to expect with a phone interview. Then I have an interview with the hiring manager the next week. If anyone can give me any sort of advice on questions that I will possibly asked. Thanks!
  6. I passed boards in feb. and have applied to over 350 jobs and have only had 4 interviews. It's becoming frustrating but not giving up.
  7. I'm glad I came across this. I have an interview for a mental health position, and was wondering some of the questions. I am glad you clarified that I will be using skills and not just passing meds. :) I am really excited and nervous for my interview tomorrow!
  8. I have an interview in mental health tomorrow, and am freaking out. I have been job hunting for 7 months and have not came across a single offer. I hope this will be a break.
