  1. SLOW DOWN,TAKE A DEEP BREATH!!!!!!Nursing is not rocket science! #1:You have accomplished a lot already. #2Follow the two rules of nursing. RULE#1;If ya dont know what your doing,DONT DO IT!! RULE#2; AWAYS follow rule # 1!!!! A nurses job is to OBSERVE AND REPORT TO THE MD,other things as well like dressing changes, assist and teach etc...,Look for a job where your interest is and most important get yourself a MENTOR who you trust and respect. Be honest with your employer and mentor and hopefully things will come together for you , I'm rooting for you!!!!
  2. wont happen, integrity cost money and decreases the administrators bonus's
  3. get over it,follow your heart, sick people (physically) dont give a damn what their nurse looks like, only how good of a job you do,I cant believe that this is what your thinking,if this really takes up space on your plate you dont have what it takes to be a nurse IMHO,people who judge others by looks are shallow and unworthy of their opinions, focus on things that matter, not imaginary BS !!!
  4. It took me over a year to feel comfortable in the ICU,1and1/2 years to reach comfort level in ER,6 months in cvicu and only 3 years before being totally comfortable in HHIts not as easy as all think, hang in there cause its harder to learn than above mentioned and dont quit asking questions, thats when ya screw up!!!
  5. some people would complain if ya hung em with a gold rope,I moved to homehealth due to the effects of 25+years of what, cvicu, icu, and er does to ones back and actually get to teach pts and see them improve and become knowledgable about their disease,i also dont have to deal with all the idiot administrators who value money more than the pt.
  6. Medicare is non-profit and operates on a 1.3% profit margin, ins cos, operate on a 20% profit margin and screw the insured,if we had medicare for all and everyone paid we could once again reclaim # 1 in the world for health care, but what would happen to all the poor CEO'S WHO MAKE MILLIONS FROM OTHERS MISERY,What about cheeeeeney the frikkin neo-con bastard who got a heart transplant at the age of 71 with his govt insurance that we pay for,my fam spends 8 grand a year and then were responsible for 20% of our cost,we need socialized med now!!!! I witnessed 5 elective cabg surgeries get completed before they took a 24 yo stabbing victim to the OR, also it took 20 units of BLOOB,27 manhours of nursing(yes,3-4 rn's fighting to keep this kid alive) while the md's made sure they did the ones they would get paid for first, that was the day I lost all respect for these self proclaimed CHRISTIANS who showed their true colors that day !! OUR SYSTEM IS WRONG but the ones who have the power to change it make too much $ to change it!!!!
  7. most hospitals supply food and sleeping quarters here in fl.i spent a weekend at gainesville, fri -mon and now know why i was not a criminal, jail must be hell, lol, also got paid 20/hr while sleeping,it still stunk but a nurse is a nurse is a nurse, deal with it and be glad you have initials after your name!!!
  8. dsylexia strikes again,I really can spell, any mispelled words here?lol
