I will be starting the RODP FNP program this semester as well. I am registered for Theory and Patho. My home school is ETSU. I plan to take Pharm. and Health Assessment over the summer and do the first clinical semester in Fall. I have a good lead on a clinical site for FNP I at my local county health department. Hi Barinbass, Thanks for the info. and CONGRATS to you!! How did you decide which certification exam to take (aren't there 2, either ANCC or AANP ?). Also...what is the Patterson's website? Do you have the link? I live in NC and am planning to start the Tennessee RODP FNP program in January. I will check with NCBON and see what I can find out. Thanks for the tip. From my understanding, as an RODP student, I will be considered a student of my home school (there are 6 different Tennessee schools in the Regents consortium). My home school will be ETSU. You can do your clinicals in NC or anywhere that has a clinical affiliation agreement with RODP. The program will also work to establish new affiliation contracts with potential preceptors that are requested by students. I plan to do my clinicals in NC.

I also live in NC and will be starting the Tennessee Board of Regents Online degree program (RODP...see link above) in January 2014. I don't think the GRE was required for admission (but I had already taken it, so I just went ahead and sent my scores, but I think it was optional). IMPORTANT: This program requires you to find your own clinical preceptors. Best of luck.

Hi Meglroyal I am planning to go to the orientation. I just emailed the grad. school and found out it is Monday Aug. 19th from 3:30 to 6:30 in the Martha Culp Auditorium. Are you going? We can exchange email and phone #s. I emailed the advisor (identified in my acceptance letter) and she sent me a packet of info., including 2 forms I had to sign and fax back. If you don't get your OBGYN site and have to expand your search to Asheville, I think you may have a good chance at MAHEC Health Science Students/Office of regional Primary Care Education (ORPCE) HomeI believe they already have a contract with ETSU. Do the sites need to have a contract with RODP or with your home school? Good luck!!

I called the admission office today and was told that they are still in the process of sending out the decisions and that I should get an email soon (the email will tell me to me to check my "apply yourself" account). I felt a little reassured after talking to the school today...but I'm still anxious since I haven't heard anything yet :-( The person I talked to in the admission office said that the admission decision will be "dropped" into my "apply yourself" account "very soon"....and that I will be informed whether I am accepted, wait-listed, or denied. Good luck to everyone who applied. I am trying to keep a positive attitude, but have made peace with the fact that I may not get in...even though I gave it my best shot. I have been re-thinking my back-up plans and will apply to both Western Carolina U. and East Tennessee State U. if I don't get into Duke.
