For those who passed: Please share your study habits
Nope according to Pearsonvue- You may not disclose or discuss with anyone, including instructors, information about the items or answers seen in your examination (this includes posting or discussing questions on the Internet, social media websites). Candidates should be aware and understand that the disclosure of examination items before, during, or after the examination is a violation of law. Violations of confidentiality and/or candidates’ rules can result in criminal prosecution or civil liability and/or disciplinary actions by the licensing agency including the denial of licensure. But I will leave you with your beliefs-me hijacking a thread...just suggesting that how I studied might not help another person because I am different from them-if you would have read my orignal post. :)

The rules are relatively fresh in my mind too...it is cut and dry...you are not to discuss the test-it is a violation of the law...how many questions you received or didn't recieve is part of the test... And to answer your question-no it will not help them...

For those who passed: Please share your study habits
Sometimes I think it doesn't really matter what I studied for the NCLEX-because you did not attend the same school as I did. You may not have the same study habits as I did. You may not be the same kind of learner I am (I am visual). So sharing what tools I used may be of little or no help to you. It boils down to if you know your content or not. I was a bad test taker in school-and I knew it...so studying for the NCLEX I took a different approach-I read the rationales and understood the answers. I did practice questions unitl I was blue...Do you know how to prioritize? Do select all that apply questions freak you out-if they do-practice those. I could list all the things that I did or didn't do-but will it actually help you study? You need to be motivated to pass the NCLEX. Which I think everyone on this board is. I am very thankful for this board-but when people ask how did I study? I am quite curious to ask what are you currently doing? Are you reading the rationales to the correct and wrong answers and understanding what the question is asking? Once you take your NCLEX you are not supposed to share what is on the test-so I am curious as to why people are sharing how many questions they got-and the types of the questions...seems like a violation of the rules. I know that this board is here to support fellow students/nurses but how I studied is not going to help you-if you are not willing to put in the time and effort. There are no shortcuts here.

I need help:(
I would email them or call them-they gave me a 30-day extension after I failed...Good luck.

To those second time NCLEX-RN test takers who were successful...
I just passed in August-but I knew what to expect since I failed the first time. I felt more prepared. I put little faith in any predictor test-or question bank-just because I had done them so many times I had memorized the answers...you need to know why things happen...and how to fix it...stay on course with studying and you will be fine:)

To those second time NCLEX-RN test takers who were successful...
I failed the first time also. My recommendation to you is NOT to change the test date. Since you have already taken the test once-use that to your advantage-you are familiar with the testing site and what to expect-that should calm your nerves a bit. You seem right on track with studying. Don't lose focus now. I kept wanting to push my 2nd test back also-but in the end you either know your content or you don't. Not knowing your content will not help you. Do you have the LaCharity book on PDA? This should help you with the critical thinking questions-Make sure you read your rationales-even for the ones you got right. :) Keep your chin up. I am sure you have this... Good luck:)

Hats and ear muffs at NCLEX?
At my testing center-they offered the standard put in ear-ear plugs- huge headphones to listen to audio clips and then another pair of huge headphones that were supposed to make the sound seem less-they almost looked identical to your picture.

Did I fail the NCLEX?
P.S. I have not yet met anyone whose test shut off at 75 that didn't pass! That's what happened to me. I too felt the test was all over the place. I failed at 75 questions. The number of questions does not determine pass/fail. I had several SATA, delegation, priority, put in order, picture, one drug calculation. My test was all over the place too! So it is possible to fail at 75...but I am hoping you passed:)
