FNP program and working full time?
Hi Everyone, I've just been accepted to an on campus FNP program. For the first semester, is it doable to work 3x12hr day shift, plus 13 units of classes 2 days a week in class? It's a 16 week term. I am single, no kids, no pets, and no drama at work or at home :) I've read other posts discussing the same topic, but some of those discussions may have been for online programs with less units per term. Thank you in advance for your input.

Wow!! That was a nerve wrecking interview! Before I started the interview it says it's due in 9 days. I guess we have to wait another 9 working days to hear from them.

White Memorial New Grad Program - August 2016 Cohort
Hi, to receive additional responses shouldn't this thread be moved to https://allnurses.com/california-nursing/? Since this is about the RN new graduate program rather than nursing school? Thanks.

I applied also. I did not submit any of those requirements. I think we submit them when they ask for it. Have you heard back from White Memorial?

Rn bsn start dates
I also want to know if it has to be an RN job. I read somewhere that it could be nurse assistant, or it could even be anything in the health field, and I also heard it doesn't have to be in the hospital. So what kind of jobs qualify for this admission requirement?

RN to MSN, skip the BSN?
A lot of NEW GRAD hospital jobs in California require BSN. I have a BS degree in another field. If I'm in the middle of an ADN-MSN program (no BSN awarded) and apply for a new grad job, how would this work? Will employers not look at my application because I don't have a BSN? Will they consider that I am in an MSN program? Thank you

NANDA for Status epilepticus, but no seizures
Hi guys, I really need help. So I had pediatric patient, 4y/o female, new onset seizure 7months ago, have had no seizure for the past 6 months, had general tonic-clonic seizure, rushed to the ED and treated in the ED, admitted for status epilepticus, but since admission and during my day of care, the patient had no seizures at all. The patient had no other problems either, until now they still don't know the cause of the seizures. All labs, imaging were fine. Basically the pt was otherwise healthy. Actually the pt ended up being ordered for discharge because she was fine. What NANDAs can I include for my care plans? I have no idea where to even start. Prevent infection?? (Pt has no history of febrile seizure). Parent education on medication adherence? (what nanda would this be?). I am so lost Thank you in advance for your help

Help with long term goal Evaluation
In a careplan, when you set a long term goal for example "In a month, pt will not show signs of malnutrition which includes... ..." OR "In 10 days (which is the end of antibiotic regimen) patient will..." What am I supposed to put in the Evaluation when I was only there till the end of the shift? Thank You.

Klone and Kayemin, thank you. I didn't know you have to be employed as an RN to apply. Can I still apply even if I've only worked for a week or less? :) I really want to get started as soon as I can.

Transcript Evaluation
I will graduate in December 2014 and will apply for the rn-bsn program right away. I already have a bachelors degree. Do they require statistics and nutrition be recent? I took Stats and Nutrition class over 10 years ago. But I heard in a BSN info session that if you just graduated, then you have just been using your "nutrition" knowledge as part of the RN program in the last 2 years, thats why they dont require recency for Nutrition. Probably not the same at WGU? "Intro to General, inorganic, and biochemistry" 5 units. Will this transfer to WGU? I also took the class over 10 years ago. Thank you
