  1. The Kaplan QBanks are a HUGE help!!! So very similar to the actual NCLEX questions. Good luck!!!
  2. I used Kaplan. Their Qbanks were VERY helpful...some NCLEX questions were almost identical in structure and format. I also watched the Review of Questions videos. That helped a lot! I passed with 75 questions and the Kaplan review (they give individualized study plans week by week) was a huge help!!
  3. I actually used Kaplan for my review, and the way they laid out their medication section was really helpful to me. They recommended studying by class, and knowing all major side effects and nursing implications for the classes, rather than every single individual drug. This was extremely helpful and it really worked on my NCLEX, because if I knew what class the medication was in, I knew what side effects to expect and what would be concerning to me. I took the NCLEX on Monday and had about 10 medication questions, ALL pertaining to adverse versus expected effects. By studying this way, I felt very confident in my medication/pharmacology NCLEX questions. I passed with 75 questions. Good luck to you!!! :)
  4. Don't stress it!! That Kaplan is designed to be MUCH more challenging than the actual NCLEX. I did the Kaplan review, it was integrated into my RN program. The Qbank were most helpful to me. The NCLEX questions are very similar to the Qbanks. I even had one question that was almost identical. My test shut off at 75 and I passed my boards (just found out today!! took them Monday) and I thought Kaplan really helped me. I had 21 SATA but they were a lot more simple than the ones on the Kaplan site. I also had some EKG strips to interpret and treat and lots of medication and math. Kaplan really helped me! GOOD LUCK!
  5. I also studied the day before. Instead of answering a bunch of Kaplan questions, I reviewed lab values, medications, and content areas I struggled with. Our Kaplan course didn't recommend doing any studing in the 24 hour period before the test, but I still did and I feel it helped me a lot. I also voice recorded the important information on all the medication classes from the Kaplan course book and listened to it on my ride to the testing center (2 hours away). By the time I took my test, I had tons of medication questions so I was thankful lol. I had 21 SATA and my test shut off at 75. I also had two EKG strips to analyze and treat and quite a few math questions. I had some chart reviews and ordered lists. Got my results today...passed :) Good luck!!!!
