if you are getting lots of select all that apply you should feel good! its a higher level question. or it could be a pilot question. i kept a tally on my whiteboard and had 12 sata

the SATA for me were mainly a disease process and select all the symptoms associated with it. or a drug and pick all the nurse teachings that go with that drug.

I wore my necklace, and two rings and I was fine. no watch though

You are going to do great! If you are on here, and you are worried about passing, it means you really want it. and in the end you have to really want it :) Know Infection control stuff btw. was thrown off by the sheer amount of contact, droplet, airborne questions there were.

I didn't do Kaplan, I did the HURST review. you guys realize that 85 % of what you study in your books, you won't see on nclex realistically. You have to think like a nurse, you have to see long term and have foresight. Which was good for me, because I wasn't book smart. I didn't get A's or B's. I was a C student all the way through nursing school.

hi! something i was told when applying to nursing school (and i've remembered the words well) was the advice to apply to a minimum of three schools of nursing. yes - you will have a favorite, but don't allow that to cost you in the long run. most schools just across your state line offer "border state" or "border county" tuition even if they don't publicly promote such an offer. while it is competitive to get in to a school of nursing, there's a lot to be said for the caliber of their students, too.

I kept a running tally on the whiteboard they provide. They don't give you a printout.

One more thing I like to do which is strange to some people, On exam days, I always dress up a little and try to feel good and look pretty. I do my hair, makeup, wear a beautiful dress and glam up. After all, according to the French if you are going to die, you want to die well dressed right? Sort of like the Elle Woods theory of doing nails always makes you feel better :)

how many questions did you have and how long did you take?

Marlene Hurst is the lady that does the HURST review, which is a content review that is amazing!! I test at 1345 tomorrow. Which will be nice because its not in the early morning which I would hate. You sound like you will be very prepared. I just started studying about 2 weeks ago, and I am taking it to get it over with. This test brings with it, a lot of pressure, and family and friends don't get what all the fuss is about. The all nurses forum has brought lots of anxiety and I have tried to read only postings that are positive and say I PASSED because in the end you need positive reinforcement. I am trying to hold it together because I really need a job and have to pass the first time.

Hey, I'm right there with you. I was one of those students that teachers picked on, and took the HESI exit more than once I test tomorrow afternoon, have been shaking for the last week, and have been making myself ill, and have random panic attacks during the day. I will probably do PVT as well, because I just don't think my nerves can handle 48 hours of waiting. I am trying not to go crazy studying today, but am just casually doing a question here and there. I did listen to the Hurst review and I am praying that Marlene is the NCLEX RN mom and will help me pass the first time.

Would you guys say that NCLEX made incredibly easy questions are good ones to do for NCLEX RN practice? the book is by lippincott and williams and wilkins and is the 5th edition

Did you go into the test thinking you would only get 76 questions or did you go in expecting to take all 265? People say that if you go past 75 you are still passing, so i'm almost hoping I get like 120 or so questions. thanks so much for being my heart to heart right now. I havent had a chance to talk to someone that took the NCLEX RN as opposed to the PN

did you feel the test was easier in the beginning and you sensed it getting harder? ie , what was the first question like, and the first 5 hardness level wise. . .

Was the NCLEX RN what you were expecting? or did you find yourself not breathing a few times. also, did you have lots of prioritization and select all the apply or hearing.auditory, picture questions. alternate format questions make me squirm. .
