Anyone with experience in travel to only one specific area?
The DFW area is basically staffed entirely by Texas Health. They contract out to a few agencies. They pay isn't that great to be honest. If you are looking for a high stipend pay package, I know FlexCare staffs TX and they usually pull the stipends right of the GSA website.

Navigating pay rates, stipends, taxes, etc. Mind blown!
Where are you looking to travel? I'd definitely say some agencies are better than others with pay and frequency of jobs depending on geography...

Travel Nursing
AMN is great for first time travelers for placement, but you'll learn a lot and end up switching companies after a couple contracts with them. IMO

Best Travel Companies
A travel friend of mine just got a huge a rapid response rate for a job in Oakland with a hospital paid completion bonus via FlexCare. She was saying they were paying much more and had more options for her than other companies she had spoken with for CA jobs (Fastaff, Emerald, AMN.)

ER travel without Level I trauma experience?
Level I is by no means a requirement to travel; however, general rule would be at least 2 years’ experience in the ER. Recruiters are aggressive because the industry is very competitive.
