  1. My classes (both online) are starting on August 20th as well. I'm enjoying the 2 week break (just finished microbiology a little over a week ago).
  2. I'm taking A&P 1 and Developmental Psychology (both through Edukan) in the fall. Good luck to everyone!
  3. Check out Edukan - I am currently taking their online microbiology course (consortium of six junior colleges in Kansas). There is a virtual lab which is pretty amazing, and I know they offer other science courses. So far, I have been impressed with the course (I am just starting week three of 12 weeks). You have to enroll under one of the six colleges, and my understanding is that your transcript would come from that college (as opposed to Edukan).
  4. I'm 44, and I am finally going to begin working on the prerequisites this summer (starting with microbiology). I have been working as a pediatric physical therapist for over 20 years and also have my MS in Child Development, but I have thought about going back to school for nursing for probably the past five years or so. I have three kids (the youngest is two - yep, not only am I an older student, but I am also an older mom!), and I decided to try taking a class this summer to see how things go. It's nice to see so many other 40-50 year old students out there!
  5. I start a 12 week Microbiology course next Monday. I am going to try the Edukan online course (virtual lab) - I have no idea how it will be, but I have read positive posts/reviews about this particular course and the professor who is teaching it. I've never taken an online course before (and haven't taken any courses in ten years or so), so it should be interesting to say the least! I've been thinking about going back to school for nursing for a number of years now (I am a physical therapist), and I am finally going to give it a go. Good luck to everyone!
