  1. Really? I saw that documents would be requested if you're selected for an interview.
  2. I was looking at the job post and it seems like they extended the deadline to yesterday (11/29). Hopefully they start looking at our applications soon.
  3. Happy to hear they're calling since the wait was killing me. congrats to you!!! I guess it's time for me to continue on the job hunt:angrybird3:
  4. I asked when we should expect to hear back and they said they would let recruitment dept. know end of last week or this week. But they also added that they're not sure how soon after recruitment will let us know. So basically we have to be patient did you happen to ask how many they would hire?
  5. Was this your first or second interview? If it was the second, do you remember questions they asked?
  6. I meant does anyone know, darn phone.
  7. Doesn't anyone know what to expect for the second interview? I know it's more clinical, but any ideas?
  8. Holy Cross Tele contacted me today

  23. I thought I was getting the hang of care plans, but this semester I have started to struggle again. I did a care plan for mother and baby and was told to look for another NANDA-Dx for the baby. I had done "Imbalanced nutrition: less than body requirements" The baby was less than 12 hours old, and I understand that it's not typical for an infant to breastfeed at this time, but I thought it would be the best fit. The baby had a LATCH score 4/10 the mother attempted to breast feed 3 times and the 3 times were unsuccessful and the infant kept falling asleep. Overall everything appeared to be WNL. I thought of switching my dx to ineffective breastfeeding aeb LATCH score 4/10 any suggestions?
  24. In the nursing assessment I had the following: His temperature was elevated (101.8) this is because of the infection, which he was receiving meds for . His pain was a 3, A&O *4, he was npo after breakfast and was having difficulty with BM, the wound of the arthroplasty was infected so it was draining a bit, it was a yellow-green tinge. He had asthma and other respiratory problems so his lung sounds were abnormal. He was ambulating but with a bit of difficulty due to the pain. In the care plan we are to do we were instructed to choose the medical diagnosis the patient had to justify our priority care for the day. I think that's where my question is more than the nursing diagnoses. For the nursing diagnosis I was thinking to prevent future infection I think I just answered my own question. Thank you so much for your comment I will use the medical dx of the infection to guide my care plan towards preventing future infection would that be more appropriate?
  25. I always have trouble with care plans and I want to make sure that I'm choosing the priority medical diagnoses. I had a patient who had an infected hip arthroplasty. The day I cared for this patient, they were scheduled for a surgery to revise it. The pt was hypokalemic by just a little so the Dr ordered to give him IV KCl to elevate it before the surgery. My care plan was going to focus on hypokalemia since the patient was going into surgery soon. Would this be appropriate?
