  1. I’m located in a Georgia... I hear ya about lying fallow. The way my mind works, I really need to keep it going.
  2. @FNPDreams haha, yes you should have! There’s still time ya know ? So is clinicals just one semester?
  3. For me, DNP was quite different on many ways... the papers required more thought and research. A greater understanding, be-it with stakeholders, financials, or whatever’s required when gathering needed Info for your project. For MSN, my focus was to become the best FNP I could become. Honestly, I can’t recall thinking about the stakeholders or any organizational challenges while in pursuit to become a NP. As a DNP, I’m expected to know it all or be resourceful enough get it when needed.
  4. Hi, I completed my DNP IN ‘17. Really enjoyed the program a lot. Only regret is not pursuing PMHNP at the same time. If I’d gone that route, I wouldn’t be in this position now but at the time, I was afraid that if I didn’t start my DNP, PMHNP wasn’t an option, I wouldn’t Completed my DNP at all..... shame on me for thinking that way ?
  5. Thanks for your quick response! That really helps to narrow things down. Wanted to completed 3 semesters straight but hey, I might need a break... LOL
  6. Hi All... glad to read answers to questions that have been pondering my head regarding this program. @FNPDreams you mentioned no Clinicals during Summer. So am I correct to think that the postmasters program which is three semesters, however not consecutively since I’d have to sit out next Summer and finish next fall.... if I start fall 2020. Whew I hope you u see deans what I’m asking ? Start-fall 2020, Spring 2021, skip Summer, complete Fall 2021?
  7. Hello All. I need help. Ive been going to family members that are trying to give good advice but Im not seeing their point. Ok, I contacted Herzing to inqire about an article I'd read about their fnp program. I was told that I stilll had time to submit my application as long as my BSN gpa was 2.7 or greater....This is the first class so they arent accreditated (anyone know how that works?) The price is 38000...is that average? And clinicals start the second 8 weeks....i have to find my own preceptor tho they do offer assistance. In a way I want to be happy but I dont kno crap about this school and ive searched. It just seems so easy to get in...any advice?
