  1. Thanks for the advice! I love that Nevada would be a progressive state for NP autonomy. 80K+ sounds nice.
  2. Moving to Las Vegas after I finish my FNP program. Can anyone give me any inside on the pay rate and scope of practice Las Vegas NPs have. Any advice would be amazing. Thanks
  3. There is an accelerated adult nurse practioner program that is 12 months.
  4. lol, I work on 6B now, it really is a dump floor. But it is really enjoyable I work nights so there are a lot of young nurses on the floor.
  5. Your HIV most definitely should've been done at MEPS. Your DA photo is not a mandatory thing for Reservist while you're there. However, since you'll be on an Army installation it would behoove you to get your ASU squared away while you're there and your DA photo. Great information! I really love the fact that you said "behoove"

  7. Do you get $29 because you don't get government benefits?
  8. O no! I'm sorry. I was also thinking of applying but I literally just became a RN-BSN and have a 3.47 GPA. Now I'm scared of applying. :/
  9. I disagree completely! It's important never to stop improving yourself and reach your potential. I appluad you marbear28 for pushing yourself! Good luck!
  10. I have really been looking in to this program. I just started as a RN-BSN and want to wait a year or two before I start the program. Keep me posted on your progress. Good Luck Nurses!
  11. I'm a new grad and just got a job through a temp agency in South East Michigan to work in a correctional facility. I am both excited and nervous. I really want to an emergency room nurse in Detroit but intill I get hired this would be an interesting place to start my career. Does anyone know how much new grads make working in prisions? Also any advice? Thank you!
  12. lol, yeah I was nervous for nothing. Actually, I was stuck in in traffic and arrived 15 minutes late. I was so scared they wouldn't let me in. By the time I had been in-processed and finger printed ten times it was 30 minutes passed my exam start time. Before I sat down I noticed a girl was on question 37. The butterflies left my stomach after question 5 and eventually I found that I had "tuned out" of the test. I kept getting prioritization and SATA questions. I knew I was gonna pass by question 30 with 75 questions, I finished in an hour and fifteen minute.I thought it was so easy compared to Kaplan tests.
  13. I passed with 75 questions! Thanks for the vote of confidence!
  14. I work night shift at a hospital in Michigan and I spent all night watching the phram kaplan tutorials after getting a 66 on a q bank test. Kobebryant I loved your cheat sheet wish I had it when I started studying in May!
  15. Really? I was scared because I'm not at 65% and I only got 59 on the readiness test. :/
  16. I have done 96% of the q bank. I have 1 more 50 question test to take. I'm gonna take that tomorrow and one more 50 question NXLEX review test Kaplan offers.
  17. Just like everyone else on here I am freaking out! I did the Kaplan review and got a 56% on my diagnostic, 1)59 2)64 3)54 4)62 5)63 6)60 7)57. The last two weeks I have been avg. 64.45 in my last eleven q bank test (not gonna include the previous ones because I didn't know what I was doing). I took an extra NCLEX review test offered by Kaplan last night and got a 64. Am I ready for the NCLEX this Friday?
