  1. Too funny, I can say the more I read the diseases I thought I had as well. I read all my books too. Keep in mind "ignorance is bliss". I started out in ICU, the more you know the more stress you can be. I was caring for a fresh open heart, the CI/CO started to drop over a 24 hour period, you name it and I knew that was what was happening to the patient. The surgeon said "lay off the books for a month and rely on your colleagues." I did and after a while the three pillars of knowledge built a foundation, 1. University education, 2. Clinical skills, and 3. Collegial relationships.
