  1. Kaplan is definitely confusing, from what I have heard Saunders is highly effective. Depends on if you like to be constantly told your are wrong (Kaplan). Or if you just want to know what the important parts are (Saunders). Kaplan says scoring 60% is good. Never mind what that does to somebody's self esteem or nerves. Nobody wants to see 60% before taking the NCLEX.
  2. Broward Health starts all new grad RNs at 22.50. All New Grad RNs
  3. I'm still waiting and they keep telling me they haven't made decisions yet...*****!!! Maybe they will tell me the truth in December.
  4. Thanks a Lot. Ill definitely let you all know if something changes.
  5. Same foolishness...waiting and waiting and waiting. Now they told me they aren't making any more decisions until after their last interview which is on June 28th. Who knows anything anymore...things change weekly at Nova. For all I know i've already been rejected. Last time I didn't even get a letter informing me that I wasn't accepted. Who knows. I am in utter confusion as to what is going on. Holding on to a slim chance that maybe I will get in. Preparing for plan B.
  6. Been Quiet in here lately....I guess Everybody is Accepted Except Me So Far...LOL.
  7. I can't even enjoy my summer with all this stress going on.
  8. This thursday makes 1 Month since my interview. I called and they said no decision has been made. They said no I'm not on hold, just no decision has been made. Funny part is when I was in the interview she told us it would take 1 week to 2 weeks to hear back. She also said she would actually know the decision within two days unless you get put on hold. smh. This is some stressful stuff. I don't know what to think....4 weeks and still nothing!!!!! I got straight A's on my sciences I figured this would be a fairly easy decision for them. This is like American Idol just before they announce who the winner is....That little pause before they say the name...The Winner Is.....Tune In 4 Weeks from now or more.
  9. Nope....smh, I too am waiting impatiently. Getting slightly worried now. Good Luck And Congrats to those that made it.
  10. I wonder if I should be worried, I didn't receive that email and I interviewed on May 10th?
  11. You forgot working plenty of Holidays, Vomit, Horrible Odors, Blood, Guts, Meetings and Protocols every other week, Joint Commissions Scrutiny...etc. I know it and still want it more than ever. Hope everybody else knows what nursing involves...mostly its the stuff Roncub and I listed. Good Luck
  12. Was your interview at the main campus? What time? I had my interview at main campus May 10th at 11:30 or maybe it was 11...either way...Good Luck.
  13. Yeah some advice is be calm and definitely focus on HOW you answer the questions vs what you answer with. I heard they mostly care about your level of professionalism. Good luck it's not difficult they treat you really nice so, just be nice and professional and dress in interview attire. You will do fine. I recommend you get there at least 15 minutes early as well. Good Luck.
  14. Now if I could just get accepted.
  15. CONGRATS SAM, I have been looking to see when you would get Accepted. Congratulations and I hope to be accepted sometime soon as well. Maybe we will be classmates if everything goes well.
  16. Hey Me Too LOL...waiting on a response after my interview. Fingers crossed
  17. You make an excellent point Priscy.
  18. I tells you in the directions, I believe, to give your entire point of view in one paragraph rather than do the introductory paragraph alone.
  19. Ok so it wasn't just me a little disturbed by this guy's negativity. I am guessing Nova didn't accept "Novabad" even with his stellar 3.91 GPA. Now he has a personal vendetta against the school. Maybe his GPA was good enough but his attitude probably came out during his interview. Good Luck Samiam and everybody else, ignore the negativity get what you want out of life and do whatever you have to do to get there.
  20. Any positive words to give? We know how expensive Nova is it's not a big surprise that is going to smack us in the face. Some of us don't need loans to pay for it. The fact of the matter is becoming a Nurse is a goal for many of us and we want to get to that goal regardless. Good Luck Everybody.
  21. Let me tell you what I heard is the most important thing. I heard they really don't care much about your answer so much as they care about your communication. Give a clear answer that makes sense of course but mostly look the interviewers in the eye while answering and smile etc, the questions are pretty dumb. The essay questions aren't so bad. Something about smoking being banned from schools how do you feel about that, and some similar stuff. I don't remember them all because I answered the smoking one. They are nice in there and make you feel comfortable so don't worry. Get there early by about 20 minutes or so as well. It shows interest to be early.
  22. I feel confident but I don't want to feel so confident and ultimately get a rejection because that could really cut deep. Feeling like you are definitely getting something only to have it taken from you abruptly. Anyhow good luck to all of us who are still awaiting a decision and those waiting for an interview.
  23. No man, I too am waiting. My interview wasn't until the 10th of May but still...the waiting feels the same no matter how long you have been waiting...terrible, yet strangely hopeful.
  24. Yeah, lol, the shark looks happy. He must have gotten an acceptance package.
