  1. I'll probably be dropping out since I was accepted to McMaster, so that's at least one spot opening up! Good luck to you!
  2. Apparently I was accepted to York on May 28th? They didn't even send me an email or anything.... I was an internal applicant. I haven't gotten a rejection from U of T yet, but last year I didn't get one until the 17th of June.
  3. I was accepted (as an internal student) on may 28th, but they didn't send me anything to let me know so I just found out today. No email, no snail mail... nothing. Strange. Did anyone else have this problem?
  4. If you have a student login already, if you log into the current students website and go to "money matters" section, they might have it under student account or something.
  5. Internal applicants won't hear back until june(from what I was told), but definitely. So long as you also have high grades in the pre-reqs. They told me I had a good shot at getting in and my GPA is lower than yours and I don't have a degree.
  6. Also, how long term were those volunteer commitments? There is a preference for long term, frequent volunteer work.
  7. I'm from BC and I knew so many amazing students who didn't make it into the program and I have no idea why. These were straight A students, top of their classes, presidents of clubs, with TONS of volunteer work. I have no idea what they're looking for at UBC, but I would send an email during the off-season, or try calling or going to an info session. Did you already have a bachelors degree? Or just 2 years of school? Because that's a huge one.
  8. I was accepted to McMaster today!!! Conditional acceptance based on completion of the courses I'm currently in at %70+ Application Stats: A- or 3.66 GPA overall and 3.63 in my last 30 credits (10 half courses or 5 whole courses). I do not hold a Bachelor degree, but am in 3rd year at York's Honours BA Psychology, and hold an Associate of Arts from Langara College in BC. I have several years experience volunteering for an inner-city after-school program, for a crisis intervention phone line, and with fundraising.
  9. 3.66 GPA overall and 3.63 in my last 30 credits with a major in Psychology.
  10. 3.66 GPA overall and 3.63 in my last 30 credits with a major in Psychology. What about yourself?
  11. I'm an internal applicant for York and they have a completely different process... They don't send out offers until June >. Is anyone else an internal applicant?
  12. [h=1]From the OUAC Website: Common Questions[/h][h=2]When I accept an offer of admission, does it mean that I will not be considered for any other offers?[/h]Accepting an offer of admission from one university will not cancel your application to other universities and/or programs. However, you may have only one acceptance of an offer on file at a time. Before you can accept a subsequent offer online, you must first cancel the previously accepted offer currently on file. Note: If you submit a subsequent paper acceptance, the OUAC will automatically cancel your previously accepted offer. I hope it's not too late!!
  13. I applied last year and was rejected with a 3.53 in my last 30 credits (equivalent to 1 full year of studies in BC). I had to report a C+ on the pre-req form, and I also only had 2 years post secondary. This year my GPA is 3.63 and I am in 3rd year at York for an Honours BA Psychology. I have also just started a thread which includes U of T, Mac, and York if anyone has applied to multiple schools. Good luck to everyone!
  14. Hello all, Just starting a thread here for any applicants to the 2nd Entry Nursing Program for U of T, York, and Mac. People can: -ask questions and/or post when they have received an offer of admission or rejection -share their marks/volunteer experience -support each other during the super stressful waiting game -discuss application issues, essay questions, prerequisites, etc. There was one last year and I found it super helpful to see what others were doing, when offers were going out, and which candidates were selected. It's also a good reference for next year's potential applicants. For myself, I have applied to U of T, Mac, York, and Dalhousie, with an A- or 3.66 GPA overall and 3.63 in my last 30 credits (10 half courses or 5 whole courses). I do not hold a Bachelor degree, but am in 3rd year at York's Honours BA Psychology, and hold an Associate of Arts from Langara College in BC. I have several years experience volunteering for an inner-city after-school program, for a crisis intervention phone line, and with fundraising. Last year I was rejected from U of T with 3.53 in the last 30 credits, and only 2 years post-secondary. I had a C+ in one of my reported pre-requisites. Hope this helps everyone and best of luck to you all!!
  15. In case anyone else has been consuming their finger nails, it might be helpful to know that I received my rejection letter from U of T today, so if you haven't, good news may still lie ahead! Good luck to all!
