  1. Hi I'm applying for the spring versant program at San Joaquin...what are the clinical interview type of questions they ask?
  2. Hi I'm also a a rn with no experience, I'm wondering if you've moved out there and had the possibility of finding a job as an RN nurse with Haad examination? Please reply! I might be moving out there in August due to my husbands' job. Thanks!!
  3. I've received an email saying congrats too, but nothing further as of yet!
  4. Help help...I got married, moved out of the country after graduation in 2008, last year I got my RN License and now will move back to the US to work as a Nurse. But everywhere I look online it says ONE YEAR MINIMAL PREFERRED. I'm having to apply like I'm a new grad because I have no experience. If it says one year experience, can I still apply, where should I be looking for jobs? I'm moving to San Francisco...please help.
  5. Hey ZAzak just google Kaplan practice tests, and go through some of the search results, I remember awhile back, I found a lot of them, but I had purchased Kaplan and was kind of thinking it isn't fair cause I purchased it, oh well.
  6. Hi I don't know if anyone will answer to this but I graduated in 2008 and just took the nclex two weeks ago I. May 2012. After I graduated I experienced a great downfall in my life and just ended up giving up on the nclex because of what was going on with me...I then got married and am now living in the UK. I'm deciding on coming back to the US soon and want to work as a nurse. How hard was it for those in my position to find a job? I've passedthe nclex and am in better health now.
  7. Hi everyone, I'm living in the UK, on a spousal visa, and have just taken my nclex..I passed which is wonderful and the greatest thing I've accomplished because I put off the nclex or 3 years . I'm so proud of myself for passing and studying my butt off for 4 months endlessly, but I'm also ver discouraged to learn that the NMCrequires 1 whole year f training in one's own country....ive been in a rut to decide, do I leave my husband for a year and o back to the PA, US, and do a year of training to gain my experience or should I stay here and just pick up a random health related job until we move elsewhere out of the UK....?? Is there none in my position? Please let me know. Thank you.
  8. Olliesmommy: Im glad you're feeling better, of something you read by someone freaks you out, don't read it!! I know I was reading random things online and getting scared prior to the exam, I made a point to ignore it, hehe..but anyway your scores are way beyond good!
  9. Hi you should be making sure to do at least 50 questions everyday...do at lest 1000 questions if you are working full time...I studied from jan. to may and worked part time did over 1400 questions, some people do even more, it just depends on your comfort level of viewing questions, set aside percentages...when my percentages were low, it was because I lacked material knowledge...just make sure you know your safety, broad view of med classess, and the physiology!
  10. Sagremus: your qbank scores are very good. Some will say the 58% is bad but I received all sorts of scores ranging from high to low and vice versa...it could have been a very difficult batch of questions. Still and all, o through each questions with every answer choice and see where you went wrong. Buy the Saunders 5th edition review book. I didn't have much time to look at it but it's very helpful and you can absorb info in minutes with it......
  11. Don't overwhelm yourself by taking too many tests in one day, only do max 150 questions except for on trainers 6 and 7... I was getting the same type of scores, but like Inori has advised you down below this post, re-read every question you got right and wrong no matter what and as annoying as it is, go through each answer and ask yourself why did I pick that...and if you picked it because you didn't have a clue, go back to your nice reference books and review...what I did after every trainer or qbank is type up a list of everything I got wrong or somehow got right but didn't have knowledge on and then spent he rest of the day reviewing. Never delay the going back to your references part for more than a day!
  12. Hi everyone! I took my nclex two weeks ago and I passed!...I would say the exam was easy/difficult. The exam started out with difficulty for me which I felt was a good sign because the questions became harder to answer, but at times it was easier, there was quite a mix of questions- which means the CAT probably couldn't figure me out on my weakness I'm assuming. The best thing to do is try your very best on the first 20 questions without becoming lazy! The first 20 questions directs your ability and allows the CAT to determine exactly what or what isn't your weakness....I've been out of university for about 3 years. So taking the exam was totally nuts for me...my readiness score was really good- 63.84%...but my qbanks varied a lot ranging from 48-65% and I even got to 30 something percents! What I would suggest is FORGET all of those other books and just make sure you do all of the qbank and trainers contained within Kaplan. You will take the nclex as if it's another trainer or qbank questions because it's way similar but just easier in style. Hence, Kaplan does definitely prepare you by intensifying the questions they provide you with. ...another tip which really helped me, go over the entire Kaplan video for pharm if it's your weakness and type up some notes, mine ended up being like 20 pages for pharm but I barely had time to review the pharm notes before the test but the notes stuck out in my head somewhat due to the videos. I had many pharm questions and lots of those SATA questions. My first one started out with SATA, fml!!! But just stay focused, relax, take a break def. between it, and keep going. Mine turned off at 105 questions and I thought I failed, lol, but I received a letter from MA two days later saying congratulations...yay, message with any questions, I'm here to help!
  13. It's a week later and my scores have been between 50-62% but two of my qbank scores were 36% and 44%!!!! Am I drained?? Ahhhhh.. QUOTE=Inori;6422768]@Biggie1 - reviewing saunders and doing kaplan questions its normal that scores increasing because you're gaining knowledge and learning testing skills. I'd be more concern if you're qbank / QT scores aren't increasing or worst start dropping. Same thing with question trainers improving is expected so long as QT6 and 7 is above 60% you're ready. Qbank questions i feel are harder than QTrainers but .. all in all very very similar to the actual NCLEX exam. Also Qbank with each test being only 50 questions the scores will jump around more meaning you'll have some higher and some lower. IT evens out if you average em for the week. Keep studying make sure you're improving the scores even by 1 pt gotta compare new scores to your average and focus studying on areas you're consistently weak in. SO by test time you've filled in the gaps and you've a uniform knowledge. there's no i hope they won't ask for X because the computer eing a CAT will go straight for your weak zones. GOOD LUCK!!Do all of your QT, QBank, look up the content, take notes on stuff you got wrong dont just read the rationale, if have time still create a quiz of all the ones you previously got wrong and keep drilling it. Think kaplan quoted that most of people who complete all of the quetsions pass so keep that in mind
  14. Inori can you please look at my comment posted on April 27th down below. I just need some input. Thanks a bunch.
  15. Are these qbank questions easier than trainers? Also, I haven't done anything differently this week aside from taking three days off but my qbank scores last week were: 54,52,54,60..and now this week my scores are 64, 66, 76...it seems like a big increase. I don't know why. Any answers to that?....I've done 75 questions yesterday from the Saunders 5th edition book that I received this week nbut no reviewing, my score on that was 69%... Anyway, i don't know how i scored highly on qbanks now..
