Struggling in nursing school..

- My clinical instructor...
...is possibly the greatest woman on the face of the earth. I could not have asked for a better first semester experience. And to add the icing on the cake, she told us flat out there's no nursing shortage. Yay, honesty from someone affiliated with a school! That is all.- There's nothing worse than a FAT nurse!
- Nurses that don't work holidays?
No, next you're going to tell me he wasn't a white guy! O.O- Muslim nursing students
I just don't trust everyone to do that, and if the sleeves are the slightest bit flowing I can see it being difficult to keep them up.- Nurses that don't work holidays?
- Muslim nursing students
Hold up. I'm an atheist. I feel that people have the right to believe whatever they wish so long as they aren't pushing it onto others. I happen to not believe in what others do. I do not base my opinion of Christians on Westboro (or Islam on the Taliban) please don't judge us based on the obnoxious atheists that flip out over a simple "Merry Christmas." With that said, there's a girl at my school a year ahead of me who always has her hijab and long sleeves on. While the long sleeves kind of gross me out, I don't think she's ever had a problem with it.- Muslim nursing students
- Getting paid to go to shool?
The only non military thing close to this I've seen is job retraining if you've been working somewhere forever and they decided to up and move to China because it's cheaper, thus laying you off.- Grade venting!
- Should I Even Try Becoming An RN?
- Difference between BSN and ADN
- Difference between BSN and ADN
I'm in the ADN first, get the license, then get the BSN boat. Every single one of my ADN classes transfer over to the BSN program. I've never even heard of that not happening. Tech schools, maybe? Why wait four years to get the license when you can get it in two, and then spend the next two finishing the BSN? That is still four years, and all the classes you took for the ADN are going to be MUCH cheaper than they would be at a four year school. Doing it this way just made a lot more sense to me.- Should I Even Try Becoming An RN?
- Should I take medical terminology (not req'd)?
Honestly, I wish I took it. I feel so lost on the terms. It's really learning a new language.- Accepted!! Goodbye cubicle, HELLO clinicals!
I've been in cubicle prison for 5 years. I'm officially half way through my first semester and I only see my cube a few days a week for some form of income. Congrats!!- Unsupportive fiance...not sure what to do
- Starting clinical next week!
I'll be looking that up when I get home from work. Thank you all so much!- Starting clinical next week!
I figured I can't go wrong with Digoxin or Lasix because they are mentioned somehow in EVERY lecture.- Starting clinical next week!
What are some common drugs that are seen in nursing homes? I would like to have an idea of some so I'm not walking in blind.- Grade venting!
- I didn't want to be the "one" who went on about it in class, but...
We were taught the ratio & proportion way, but I actually used dimensional analysis on the test. Unfortunately, I don't think it's simple to explain in text. :/Navigation
