  1. I am 2nd quarter AG-ACNP student. Ready for this research class to be over with. My professor is so particular. Any advice for the advanced patho class? I start it at the end of May.
  2. My company pays me 500 a month tax free to provide my own insurance... no proof of insurance needed and they added it into my housing stipend every week...
  3. I have had the same question and with Aya Healthcare my contract simply states there is a one year period from date of contract before I can work with another agency at the hospital I am at. So to me sounds like a no compete clause between agencies but going full time with the hospital is fair game...
  4. I know this is several years old but did the contract state you had to wait a year period or that you had to wait a year before you could work with another agency at that hospital?
  5. Cool... I own a house but am looking to downsize while I travel to save on expenses. So I just wasn't sure if I needed an apartment to replace my house or if I just needed to buy another one... thanks for the input...

I love taking long camping trips in mine... So I am sure I will enjoy traveling in it for work... I have a zoo of small animals and I just cant leave them behind or I would simply take company housing and not stress about finding a camground to stay at. If I cant get a motorhome I will just get a bigger travel trailer that has a little more room for all of us... Is yours gas or diesel fuel?
  7. I have not quite figured out how to search on here yet for a specific topic so forgive me if this has been asked somewhere else... However, my question is can you use a parents house for a tax home or do you have to live on your own first in like an apartment or buy a house?

What kind did you get? I have a 27 ft travel trailer that hopefully after this assignment I can trade it for a motor home...
  9. Cn4333 sorry for the very late response... took a break from the travel hunt and hence did not use this forum... but home for me is in south georgia and I have since signed a contract to be a traveler in south louisianna starting in 3 weeks on Aug 18... I'm super excited about it... how about you, have you found an assignment?
  10. Thanks Ned... that is definitely a big help...
  11. Ned, a quick question about the whole travel pay and base salary with OT. Is it ok for a traveler to set say 30/hr base with 45/hr OT and request maximum GSA per diem rates for the area in which they are going? At least that way I would have a steady net taxable income and only my tax free per diems would fluctuate depending on where I was. Like with my first assignment starting in 3 weeks I am stuck with a 20/hr base plus 30/hr OT and my MEI is double the max on the GSA site and the housing is just shy of the max, the net take home calculates to be ok for what I need but at the time I did not know negotiating was even an option. I do not want to necessarily limit my options here, but also need to make money myself and not feel like I am being taken advantage of. I would think this would be an ok move since the bill rate is what pays the agency and then they pay me, but I do not want an attitude of you need me more than I need you, because that is not the case. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
  12. I am 25 currently looking for my first travel assignment!! Looking to stay close to home at first then possibly branch out. Just got to find the right fit!
