Please pass the emesis basin!
I feel so sick! I took my NCLEX-RN today and felt like I knew nothing at all. I guessed at just about every question. I had 105 questions mostly priority, delegation, one select all that apply, medications I never had heard of before and patient teaching. I feel like nothing could have prepared me for this exam. I did so many questions on Saunders and Lippencott Cd's and did Kaplans strategy book but now I feel like it was a big waste of my time. Everyone tells me this is a normal feeling after taking the NCLEX but I feel like a such complete failure I could just cry. Shanna

Do you think doing Kaplan question will help me pass NCLEX?
My friend just took her NCLEX on Thursday. She told me that the questions seem more like the format similar to Kaplan's questions. I'm not positive due to the fact that I haven't taken my NCLEX yet. Mine is scheduled for the 22. I've been using Saunders and Lippencott Cd's and also the Kaplan book chuck full of strategies for answering NCLEX style questions. Hope this helps. Shanna

Prioritizing questions? How to answer?
Thanks for responding to my post. The information provided has been very helpful.:thankya: I'm trying to use the Kaplan strategies but sometimes I feel like I'm having a harder time memorizing the strategies than answering the questions.Go figure! By the way, I decided to reschedule my test for August 22. :selfbonk: What was I thinking? I guess I just want to get it over with. Everyone I know from my graduating class that has taken it has passed. Any way thanks again everyone. Shanna

Prioritizing questions? How to answer?
Any words of wisdom for prioritizing questions used on the NCLEX? I take my boards on September 1 and have been studying Lippencott and Saunders Cd's. They didn't seem to have very many questions covering that kind of material. Is there a certain strategy I can use to help answer the questions correctly? Any kind of help will be appreciated. Shanna

HESI Exam Poll (Please Respond)
I graduated in June 2006 from Clinton Community College. We used it as a practice tool at the end of our comprehensive class for the NCLEX. It was not part of our grade and a score under 850 would not keep you from graduating. Hope this helps. Shanna

We Saved a baby yesterday
Wow, what a scarey experience. I am a graduate nurse (May 2006) and your story just about had me in tears. The story reinterates how important it is for all of us to work together as a team and how things could go from bad to oh s**t in a matter of minutes. I hope that this will be a good outcome for mom and Jesus. P.S. Pray for me I'm taking the beast in early August.
