1. Hey Sierrarox I am in the program right now. There isn't a requirement for the TEAS score for LPN applicants. And for my group our first semester was 10 credit hours: 1st 8 weeks = 4hours of "Concepts 1" 2nd 8 weeks = 4 hours of "Concepts 2" 2nd 8 weeks =2 hours of "Service Learning/Health Promotion" For some of us it was 13 hours with the "Indv/Fam Dev Through the Lifespan" (have you taken that course yet?) Also it is highly recommended to take Pharmacology as LPNs are not required to have it and in the last semester of the program you take Pharm II! PM with if you want to discuss things further. I can tell you all about what to expect. This is now my second semester in the program. -JP
2. yay!!! I'm applying in a few weeks. I was told normally LPN students have fewer points than traditional. you have a great GPA and points. I will be applying with 16-19 points I am debating the teas. and my GPA is just barely enough. I am also applying clp. not much stuff on here for us. good luck to you!
3. I went to my first CNA job 2 weeks before my NCLEX and got hired and I start tomorrow!
4. Im a new nurse (LPN in OK) and tomorrow is my first day of work. Its a medium size nursing home with a skilled hall on it. What should I pack in my bag for tomorrow and days to follow. I have my stethoscope, pen light, scissors, pens, and what else?
5. I took mine today. Good luck! What state are you in?. I'm in OK... I got the good pop up too...
6. LPN = Licensed to Play Nurse RN = Real Nurse I became an LPN really though because my schooling was paid for where as if I went to become an RN I would have had to pay. I am going back for my RN now that my income will more than double. But I was told that LPNs know what to do and RNs know why to do it. As in the LPN does more hands-on and the RN does the paperwork, so to speak. HTH!
7. Thank you @Nurse2bKimberly! I keep checking the pearsonvue website, still no change. I called the OK BON and they havent called me back... I check my mail daily! Ugh the waiting is killing me!
8. Still says eligibilty pending!!! Im dying of anxiety now!!!
9. How long do they have to process everything?
10. That wasn't much help...
11. I finished school 02/14/2012!!! YAY!!! All my paperwork was sent in on 03/09/2012 (don't ask about my procrastination)... I live in Oklahoma currently. I was gone from 03/19/2012 to 04/03/2012, when I got back in town today I checked my overflowing mailbox and had a letter from NCSBN (PearsonVue) stating: THIS IS NOT YOUR AUTHORIZATION TO TEST (ATT) It has my name, address, phone number, candidate ID.... It says to check everything for errors (which there are none). I logged on to the website like the letter says: http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex Made a new password and made sure all my info was correct (again). Now here is my anxiety issue!!! On the front screen (I can provide a screen shot if needed) under Current Registrations it says:

NCLEX-PN: The National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses Then right next to that it says: Eligibity Pending. This has a little magnifying glass next to it and I clicked it. It says Registration completed 23 March 2012. How long until I get my Authorization to Test? How long until I can take my NCLEX? I am beyond anxious now!!! I always read the forums on here, but never post. I need answers please!!!!!!!!!!!!

12. I was wondering if anyone would like a video breaking down what NLC is? I have one made that I will post. Just wanted to hear some opinions (SP) first! :)
