Hi earthangel!! I am currently going to nursing school in Colorado Springs and have lived in Colorado all of my life. You are going to fit in just fine here in Colorado. Don't worry!!:) I do want to let you know that Colorado Springs is the most conservative town (Air Force Academy, Focus on the Family) and Boulder is the least conservative town (but very expensive to live there!!) I am from Golden, Colorado - a suburb of Denver. (Denver is about 15 or 20 minutes away) Golden is more "moderate" I guess you could say. When I am done with my school, I will be moving back to Golden. (Colorado Springs is way to conservative for me...but I got into a really good nursing school here in the Springs) A few things you may want to know about Colorado...we do have snow..but we defintaly have sunny days in the winter. It has been known to snow as late as May (although that doesn't happen very often). Also -Colorado isn't very diverse when it come to people of different ethic groups. I think that is a big draw back of Colorado. If you have any questions - I will try to answer them for you! Good luck! Aimee

I am going to agree with everyone that stated the pros and cons of the ADN. If we didn't have ADN nurses - the shortage would be even worse!! I myself am a BSN student....I wouldn't disagree with the arguement of having entry level nurses be BSN nurses....but like I stated before - the shortage would be even worse.

I feel your pain!! Just one month ago I went to a party with my roommate. We had both been drinking. She got in a fight with her boyfriend and started throwing up..I offered to drive her home. BIG mistake. I got pulled over and was arrested. I have to go to court in July and will have my driving liscense taken away from me for at least three month. I too have no prior convictions and am scared to death. Has anyone gotten a DUI in Colorado? If so..how did it affect your nursing career? bashful8523 P.S.
