  1. I always get new books, but I never get them throught the school. I always get them online. I search them by IBSN#'s and i ALWAYS check feedback. I will only buy from someone who has great feedback and many transactions. I saves me a fortune though. For example...................I needed an A&P book and workbook. Through the college it would have been $347.50 new, $266.50 used, and online I bought then new in dust jacked for $197.50 which included shipping.
  2. Surely, you cannot believe that most people die with a bs of 39. Having been a type 1 for almost 20 years, I can tell you that my sugar hits the 30s at least one a month, and I am still kicking. Guess I have hundreds of lives or perhaps great luck?
  3. I know! I can' wait till Monday. Hopefully we will get to meet face to face
  4. amg418, you are going to be going to The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences right? Me too, lol.
  5. I need to buy a pair of white shoes for clinicals and I am torn on whether to go for sneakers or nursing clogs. What did you/are you going to get and do you recommend them or would you pass on them in the future?
  6. I certainly hope it's worth the money too!
  7. We are required to purchase a CRT (clinical resource tool) through our school. It is $550 and it comes downloaded with the required software. The paperwork never reveales what this device is. Anyone know what this device may be? I am thinking, at that price, maybe an Ipod touch or something along those lines.
  8. Our classes start August 27th and I'm in PA. Our orientation is the week of August 20th.
  9. A very good friend of mine, a nurse for 15+ years, bought me a Cardiology III in plum with my name engraved on it. It is awesome!
  10. Sounds like you can do it, as long as there is no prereq that you need one before another. We needed Chem before going into Biology, but all schools are different.
  11. My school is the same as the above posters. I would call the school and see what they suggest.
  12. Just something to keep in mind, but if you get student loans they may not cover taking the class again since you passed.
  13. I begin a diploma program through our local hospital in the fall. I have all prereq's needed, but they suggested we take A&P classes through them. Is it going to be terribly overwhelming taking Nursing and A&P at the same time?
