  1. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good website with a list of antidepressants meds with classes and side effects? Thanks in advance!
  2. Learn from this NON mistake. Check and double check. This is a blessing. Something like this has happened to me.
  3. You are a new nurse! These feeling are the same feelings I had when I first started. Well I don't work in ICU but either way, I can relate. You seem to be going the extra mile to be on top of your game, and that is a good thing. Just keep doing those good things(brain sheet, palletes) and eventually you will develop a routine and you will get out of work sooner. I have been a nurse for 6 months(still a newbie!) and I still stay after work often. Also, I was terrified that I wouldn't catch the signs and symptoms of someone who is in distress or or when something was wrong with them. The thing is that all illnesses(almost all) have S/S, you will be able to pick up that something "ain't right." And for the things we can't SEE, that is why we draw labwork in all. Sometimes you may not know exactly WHAT it is, but that is what MD's are for. Plus, as nurses it is in us to know when someone is sick/acutely ill, it's like it's inbedded within us. Make sure you ask lots of questions at work. Hope this helps!:)
  4. Eat a good beakfast! You will do fine. Just "think like a nurse," relate your questions to the nursing process and remember ABC's! Good luck!
  5. I was in the ADN program for a year, failed out(by one point:err), and went into the LPN program. I graduated in Dec. and now I currently back in the ADN program and I only have one more year until I graduate! Yay! Anyways, what I was wondering is is there any possible way I could get accepted into a university for ADN to MSN? My GPA is only 2.8 and my transcripts would show that I have failed out of nursing school before. I have always wanted to further my education after my RN, but is it even possible now? Advice or expirences anyone?
  6. I have made A's in my last 2 quarters, hopefully that will continue.:)
