Does anyone know how much new RN graduate make. I am planning to move to Tampa, Florida from Richmond, VA. Can anyone tell me how is the job market there. is it easy to find a job as a fresh graduate. Thank you for any feedback.

hi i am a native russian who has lived in the united states for 3 years. i have just completed a community college pre-nursing program. i have a 4.0 gpa including more advanced english literature classes as electives. now, i have just taken the kaplan test with scores of 82 on math and only 55 on reading. how can i improve my reading and comprehension capability and reading kaplan score? then, i can apply for the nursing program with hope of being accepted........... hey i have the same problem. i am an english as a second language speaker. i passed all parts of the kaplan test with high 90s but reading 45. i do not know what to do either. i tried everything. the problem is the timing. without timing, i got 85 on kaplan practice reading part. if you have any suggestions, please let me know. thanks

LadyinScrubs Thank you for the information.Unfortunately, it is too long and costly to me. I am going to start EC if I do not get into the Thomas Nelson CC. Thank you for all of your posts. It helped me make a right decision. I hope.

LunahRN Thank you for the post. I am aware of the endorsement for Virginia. I am planning to apply to Thomas Nelson Community College LPN/RN program in Hampton this fall. If I do not get in, I am going to start Excelsior College, work in South Caroline for 6 months to get the 960 hours and then endorse the license in Virginia. Based on the posts about ISU, it seems too long to complete and costly for me. I am only scared of the clinical exam at the end of the program at EC. Can you please tell me your experience with the clinical exam. Thank you

hi jpng954 I just got my info today about ISU. When I sent them an email, they responded that the nursing classes alone take from 2.5 to 3 years as a part time student. I hope it helps. I plan to take all required classes before I start the application process. Good luck to you

Hi Nervous1 I am also from Virginia and I would like to start EC. Can you tell me some more about it. If I understand correctly, I can work in NC even I live in Virginia. Is that correct. When I complete 960 hours as RN in NC, can I apply for license in Virginia. what are the chances that I will get the license from VBON or they will make some excuses. I want to make sure.
