clinical sites anyone?

The key point to completing your BSN is that the program is that the program is accredited, whether it is online or done traditionally in a classroom. I am no expert on CRNA admissions but I think that a majority of programs would prefer to see good grades in your BSN pursuit along with the addition of Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II, and Biochemistry if your time permits. The point is that as a CRNA you are responsible for someone's life despite what the surgeon is doing to the patient, so a sound understanding in these sciences is paramount and probably holds more weight with the adcom than where you completed your BSN

i know that it sucks but you should be completely honest....if it was later discovered that you did not fully disclose all colleges you may forfeit any changes you have getting accepted into school

The program director was just terminated? interesting news... When did this all take place. i did some research and found no information that substantiates the termination of said program director.... i would be curious to learn more

I believe UAB has an online pathophysiology class. UAB has somewhat reasonable tuitions rates too. I am not sure about any pharmacology classes.

i find it interesting that certain schools look will consider you last 60 hours of classes where other schools look at your entire collegiate career. i was a complete f%^& up when i first started my undergrad pursuit some 20 plus years ago, but with some dedication and hard work my gpa has improved drastically. the bottom line is getting into crna school can be difficult. recipe for crna school: a lot of hard-work throw in good gre scores:specs: take the ccrn, get as much icu experience as possible, practice good interviewing skills (confidence with humility) = potential admission to crna school:yeah:

i will due my best to answer some of your questions ... but if you are thinking about moving to either hillsborough or pinellas county i say go for it. in terms to cost of living, everything is somewhat relative... florida doesn't take stated taxes out of your paycheck so you checks maybe a little bigger than you are currently accustom to. the housing and rental market is somewhat fare, but is definitely driven by the proximity to the water. gas is a little bit more than other states. overall there are worse places to live in our country

i am sure that many can empathize with you. if becoming a crna is your goal and in your future, it will happen. just remember that everything happens in it's due time. i believe that you can retake the gre after 60 days....reschedule the exam and retake it. it shows that you have drive and tenacity and that you are willing to due what it takes to be successful in your own personal pursuits.

Propofolled, How much ICU time did/do you have? Did you smoke the GRE? i will say it for many... many of us are jealous of your accomplishment others maybe concerned with the amount of critical care time/experience that you have.... good luck with your pursuit

I actually listen to Laura Gasparis DVD that had been converted to a MP3 file and then loaded it up on my ipod. It was very helpful for me. You can find more information at Great Nurses Otherwise just immerse yourself into one of the CCRN review books. Good Luck

i do have my ccrn and cen. i am also a nationally registered paramedic. i take the gre is several weeks. i am applying to several different programs, some in florida, some elsewhere. i have been shadowing quite a bit and will dive into chemistry, biochem, and graduate level physiology class after the gre. i choose fhchs for a many different reasons. one was that i have family in the area. another reason was that it is a faith based institution

it is one of the programs that i am applying to. i have done a significant amount of research about the program....thus far it appears to be solid. i couldn't find any information about the interview or selection process. maybe this will initiate a few more insightful posts about the college.
