  1. Has anyone been contacted by Saint Joseph's, Holy Cross, or Saint John's?? Should we be calling them or are they going to be calling/emailing us?
  2. The application period just ended on the 31st of may so I'm assuming they're reviewing all the apps now
  3. Just my letter of intent. And I applied for all 5 providence hospitals in california
  4. Does anyone know when the Providence TIP Program for August will be starting? I'm merely curious, and can't seem to get a hold of an actual human being through HR.
  5. Wow thank you so much for posting this. You are so inspiring and determined!! Congratulations!! I can really relate to your story. In school I was an awesome student and got pretty good grades. But currently I am hard core struggling with the NCLEX. I have failed it twice. I just took it on the 28th and still waiting for the results (my state doesn't do early results). The First and second times I only did Kaplan and didn't like it at all, but thought it was the only program good enough because the faculty at my school swore by it. After I failed twice, I thought i needed to change up my study plan so I did the Hurst program and some Lippincot questions for my third attempt. I went to the full 265 and ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED that I failed. This whole year has been so full of anxiety and depression while I watch all of my former classmates love their dream jobs. Like you said...I'm happy for them, but also insanely jealous because some of them literally have my dream job. I'm currently at the point where I just don't know what to do with my life or if it is even worth being a nurse. I can only see myself as a nurse but at the same time I want nothing to do with the profession...that's how the NCLEX has made me feel. And it scares me.
  6. Haha I know right!? At least a small teeny tiny "break".
  7. I haven't seen the syllabus either only the lecture schedules for skills lab and theory. I hope they post the schedule for pharm soon! We do have a spring break right? Like the rest of COC?
  8. Tiktokk, I'm glad it worked!!! I'm at Holy Cross on Tuesday and Wednesday also. Are you scheduled for 630-315?
  9. As far as I know we need our uniforms for the skills lab and clinicals. So I believe we need the uniforms with the patches by the first skills lab date, which is shown on the schedule that the teachers emailed us.
  10. Tiktokk, I went into the "express registration" on my canyons and entered in the section numbers and was able to see the times there :) Are you at Holy Cross also?
  11. I just got mine too!!! I'm pretty happy with the schedule...I like it :) I'm at Holy Cross Hospital.
  12. I'm not in the bridge program and I haven't received an email yet! It must only be for the bridge students. Thank you for telling us the advice that the nursing students gave you. I plan to not work the first semester and see how I do and then get a job for the rest of the program. I love working and making my own money, so I hope I'll be able to have at least a part time job for the last 3 semesters.
  13. Doodlebuggie, I won't be working while in the program, only over the summers :) I know it's different for everyone, but I can't work and be totally focused on school that's this rigorous. If you think you can work than try it and see how you feel :)
  14. Thank you so much for sharing this!! I will be starting nursing school in February. Although I know the work load will be huge and my schedule will be crazy, I am so excited to start this next chapter in my life!!
  15. doodlebuggie, Congrats on getting in!! You need to order same number of patches as your uniforms ( ie. if you buy 2 uniforms than you need 2 patches) For the schedule during the first semester, class is Monday thru Friday with 2 clinical days (I'm not 100% on the number of clinical days). The nursing courses have not come out yet on the Spring Schedule so I don't know what the times will be for the Spring. But, you can look at the Fall 2013 schedule under 'nursing science' to get a better idea of when classes are. The schedule is located on the COC homepage to the left or on my canyons :) For the CSUN program: as far I know you wouldn't be getting the summers off
