  1. I have a tentative job offer with a VA hospital. So far, I only done the VetPro. Still waiting on fingerprinting and physical. Do they call you or email regarding the last two. I got selected on March 2. So after you are done with everything, they will let you know your salary job offer? Thanks
  2. I know how you feel. I'm an old new grad (May 2010- went on vacations with family before applying) and I applied everywhere in California (northern and southern california) for hospital jobs. So far, I had 4 interviews: one new grad in san diego (2000 applicants, 200 interviews, and only about 60-80 chosen, one home telehealth nurse (a lot applicants, only 1 spot), one public health nurse (made it to the eligibility list, waiting for another interview), one med/surg (got interview, got selected, but waiting for offer). While waiting for the offer, I got an email for ER department and just got another call for an interview med/surg position in san diego. My daily routine, is constantly check online on local hospital where i live, check indeed.com, facebook, print out a list on wikipedia of all hospitals and go through that list. Keep fixing your resume and cover letter. I had moments when I wanted to give up and just start applying at SNF or Nursing homes. I know some people who graduated went to nursing homes/SNF, worked for a year and still having a hard time finding a hospital job. I took that chance and waited. Being patient is the key and all the support you can get. I tend to read allnurses.com to make sure I'm not the only person going through this. Keep your head up and GOOD LUCK! If there's anything I can do to help PM.

  4. Good luck to those who interviewed. I called and they said they already started interview and for those who got it will find out next week for a call regarding an offer for the position
  5. Good Luck! Yeah it seems like another hurdle for all of us and pure luck. Still waiting and staying positive for a call hopefully next week. I know people are already gotten rejection emails and I'm just waiting. I might just call next week after Tuesday if I don't hear anything.
  6. @ dcolonrn wow- I know how you feel. Its sucks how so many of us apply to all these new grad program yet we don't know what the hospital is looking for because I know for sure we all meet the minimum requirements. When did you guys apply? I applied on the first day and I still haven't heard anything. I'm constantly checking my emails or waiting for a phone call
  7. I know someone that already got contacted through email stating notice of results. My friend emailed it to me and wanted to share for those of you waiting, it stated, "You got qualified for the position however you were not among the most highly qualified candidates, therefore you will not be referred to the selecting officials at this time" they continued saying if more candidates are needed we will re-evaluate your application after 90 days. WTH!?! She told me I guess it's onto the next application. Good luck to everyone that applied.
  8. Has anyone heard any news about the clinical nurse residency that was posted on January 26-January 31? Any emails or call backs? Thanks.
  9. Some one of facebook said that Sutter Health RN Strong program is looking at applicants who graduated near/in Sacramento County will be considered. I know on the applications it said "Preferred" But I still applied and no contact yet
  10. @ telenurse 22 What kind of experience do you have to land you an interview? Jus curious thanks
  11. SO UCI is already contacting people for interviews? So far nothing on my end only that pre-screening from HR on general questions.
  12. Thanks! I got a call too. Ok just making sure cuz the HR lady I talked to wasn't helpful or nice. Just saying I made an appointment for you, but didn't even ask if the time was ok for me. She said it was a nurse recruiter that will contact us and ask a few questions and take about 10 mins. GOOD LUCK to you too! :)
