  1. Congrats!!!!! I got accepted in the spring semester 2013 as well......
  2. Hi, I could suggest that you apply to a few schools in Oklahoma ( thats where I live). I graduated from a CC in Allied Health got denied from 3 nursing schools. Just when I was about to give up I applied to two universities ( Langston Univ. BSN program and Rogers State ASN & BSN) and Radiologic Programs. I got into both by the way my gpa is 3.5 as of now I had to take a few extra classes for the bachelor program but its worth it. I chose langston because it was way cheaper and I got a scholarship. I would really suggest you apply to a few schools in Oklahoma I got denied my first year applying to nursing school but I start 2013 in January. Don't give up you can do it...apply to other medical fields. I will start nursing school at the age of 22 as well Good Luck

My CPR certification is in Oct.10 and i have to do a physical and thats it. Is there anything else i am missing mmmm??? How is everyone else doing???
  4. Langston University (Tulsa, Oklahoma ) BSN program :-)
  5. Thanks for all the good advice everyone! My interview went well and their going to call for a second interview
  6. Have a job interview as a dietary aide at a hospital. Kinda nervous because I don't know what to except. Should I take a resume even tho I turned one in with my job application. I'm excited about the interview and hopefully get the job, but I also want to socialize and go out before nursing school starts because I will have no life during school! Please give me some feedback
  7. Ok thanks so much :) congrats on getting in by the way see ya in nov.
  8. Oh and I have a question mrsbrowne33 how was statistics and writing for the workplace ? I will be taking a 5 week course and do not know what to expect
  9. I'm not sure of the exact but if it's like the college I attend It will probably start jan.12 ( I hope not that's my birthday) lol but congrats on getting accepted mrs.brown
  10. Congrats :) so happy now u can stop stressing and relax until nursing school starts!
  11. When I got my first letter it was a Rejected letter the envelope was thin only stating I didn't get in. About two weeks later I got a letter from my 2nd choice school and the envelope (my mom brought it to my room and laid it on my bed) was really thick I didn't bother opening it at first cause I thought it was too early to read I had got rejected from another school so I opened it around 2pm after class and it read congratulations you've been accepted so and so on. Hope that ease your mind a bit
  12. On my online class We used Copstead-Kirkhorn and Lee-Ellen C. Pathophysiology, 4th Edition it had the CD component and access codes made it easier
  13. Yes it was Elsevier. It was the first time the nursing professor was using the program and it was rather tough the only thing I enjoyed was the discussion logs and clinical applications but like I said the teacher was new to evolve and was preparing as we went along. I think if I would've taken on campus class I would've gotten so much more out of it.
  14. Human physiology is how the body function physiology is function (metabolism, muscle action, organ function, etc. and Pathophysiology is is how function goes wrong in a disease state and how it breaks down and what happens then. (I took pathophysiology online Evolve )
  15. CONGRATS on passing the boards!! :)
  16. I was wondering how did you get a full ride scholarship? I been filling out scholarships and am trying to get a full ride so I just focus on school. I would've inboxed you but I can't send private messages due to me being a new member and have to have at least 15 posts any info on how to get a full ride scholarships will be helpful. thanks in advance.:thankya:
  17. I live in Oklahoma although my boyfriend lives in Brevard.( had to reply since u live in Brevard haha) I will be finishing my last two pre-reqs before I start BSN program in Oklahoma. You don't need straight A's to get in nursing school, but doing well scoring in the A -B range will help you get there. I have a 3.1 right now and I got accepted into nursing. But I also got my AS in Allied Health don't think it helps much just shows you got all your pre-reqs out the way. I think I could've got in sooner of I scored higher on the ACT I only made a 20 and was denied my first year of applying (it took me 1 try before I got accepted after I got my degree go-figure). I would say take the ACT again and that will help your chances ALOT. Jus keep your sconce GpA up and you will be fine :) good luck on your journey to becoming a nurse
  18. Not exactly okiern2b I have a stick shift and my VW is pretty good on gas lol. And I won't be driving back and forth everyday
  19. Yes I will be taking it this summer creative writing class.
  20. Congratulations on your acceptance!!! I was excited as well on getting my acceptance letter and seeing all the paperwork I have to get ready for november is kinda crazy. To pay for all the background checks and etc. I have to take elem. statistics & advance comp ( which will be creative writing) at Connors in muskogee this summer. And get my CNA certification in the end of May at Indian capital after fall class finals are done. Good Luck and I look forward to seeing in nursing in 2013...Cause I don't know anyone who applied and just trying to reach out to those who did get accepted. If you don't mind me asking do you live in the Tulsa area. I live in Sallisaw, oklahoma so yeah i will have a drive lol
  21. I have been admitted to Langston University as well but i won't start until Spring 2013 im super excited and nervous at the same time. How is nursing school going for you now?
  22. Congratulations Msvictoriat!!!! I have recently been accepted to Langston University BSN program for Spring 2013 since 2012 was filled. I am very excited to start and getting all my background checks out the way before I lose track of time haha. I must admit I am a tad bit nervous since I am going straight from a AS in Allied Health to a Bachelors program for nursing I hope I do well pray for me
  23. Hi my name is Tiffany and I have received my acceptance letter into Langston University Bachelor of Science Nursing Program for the spring of 2013 since the lady over the phone told me that the fall 2012 had to many students already. I was wondering if anyone else got accepted into Langston University in the Tulsa Campus?????????
  24. Ok so will be receiving my AS in Allied Health in Dec.13, 2011. My gpa is a 2.8 right but it will rise to a 3.0 after this semester I havent been able to get into a nursing program I think because of my GPA. I was really considering about about going to oklahoma city university. Do they have a AS in nursing? I know their tution is really expensive but do they have a program where if you work at a specific hospital in oklahoma or in OKC for so many years you will be able to pay them back through working for them for so many years? Please anyone who know any information about their nursing program and tuition that i can pay through college please let me know.
