  1. Did you send the card to the unit and address it to just the manager or the entire panel?
  2. I went to an open house and the guy who talked to us said you can apply for the MSN program at any point when you are in the BSN. He said they sometimes prefer this because it may take you a little while to figure out exactly what you want to specialize in. He also said that it is much easier to do that, than to get accepted into the combined BSN/MSN then decide you want to be in a different specialty.
  3. Hey everyone be sure you join our Facebook page! Johns Hopkins university school of nursing accelerated class of 2013. Congrats!
  4. Hey Aggie! Do you have any advice on housing or specific streets and areas to look at? Also, do you have any advice on classes or professors or anything?Honestly I'd just love to hear anything and everything you have to tell!! :)
  5. Hi! I know this was a long time ago, but did you end up applying or making it in?
  6. Does anyone have a reason to call in and maybe check with them to see if there's a chance we'll be hearing this Friday, like it seems they always have in the past??? I can barely get through these finals thinking about it!!
  7. I emailed M the other day and she said "We are hoping to notify later this month or in early January, possibly sooner." I hope the possibly sooner is more like it!! Last year they found out around the 17th. I graduate the 16th so I'd love to hear around then!!
  8. So while we're waiting to hear about interviews, what's everyone's age, location, and story? I'm 21 and will be a graduate of the University of Kentucky here in a few short weeks! My degree is in Biology and I originally planned on doing Med School, but I realized over time that Nurse Practitioner was more suitable for me. I'm a people person and I don't really want the lifestyle most doctors live as far as family and such. I've applied to a couple of schools but Duke is definitely towards the top of my list. I have a pretty ordinary GPA at 3.495 (Organic Chemistry's are killers!!) and a pre-req GPA of 3.8 as I work on my Micro next semester. I have some hospital volunteering and an amazing camp experience at a place in North Caroline called Victory Junction (for kids with different disabilities and illnesses). How about everyone else? I'm hoping my GPA and age don't keep me from making it. This program sounds so amazing!!:redbeathe Sarah
  9. I applied as well! Good luck to everyone and hopefully we'll hear in the next few weeks whether we have an interview. That'd be a great early Christmas present!:)
  10. Hi everybody! I just found this board recently and decided to sign up. I also applied for the JHU accelerated program! :) I wish I had been able to do early decision because the wait is going to KILL ME!!! Has anyone been to visit the campus? And if so, what was it like and how were the classrooms and people you met?
