Congratulations means you passed

Just an update. I passed my boards. I had the good message, now I can be stress free and move on in a better direction. Anyone else who is about to take it, good luck and relax. You will see the greener pastures soon enough. For the ones that had taken it and passed CONGRATULATIONS.

I used the Saunders disc. It has 3500 questions and I only studied for two days. I graduated dec 16. I finally got my att the only available date was Saturday. Or mid march. So I chose Saturday. I hardly studied, just believed my instructors who said there really no good way to study you either know it or you don't. The more you look into it you confuse yourself more and think too much in the question. I did what they said using abc and maslows. The pharm questions about the drugs were crazy I didn't even know a lot of them, I just looked at the answers and if I saw two that were similar I just picked one of those.

I hope your right. The tightness in chest is not going away from all the stress.

I took the nclex pn this morning. Got the full 205 questions. I guessed at everything there was stuff I don't remember even going over, and the pharmacology drugs were redonkulous. I had 45 pharm questions. I just tried to re-register and I get this message "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance, another registration can not be made at this time" is that a GOOD THING? Doesn't sound promising at all to me. I live in NC do I guess I'll pay the 7.95 and check unofficial Tuesday. It's been a bag of Doritos and Krispy Kreme night for me, this stress is rediculous.

If you think they might be using your information ss number and nursing license and your name to work as a nurse, then you can possibly just go to the unemployment office. The unemployment offices can do a database search on your social security number to see if its registered at a place of employment other than where you are working at now. By law as soon as your job of employment obtains your tax forms then your entered into a state wide employment registry with the employment security commission. I would check with them, its better to be safe than sorry.

I'm just curious if anyone has obtained further education from the college network to advance from LPN to RN. If so did you like obtaining your degree online? I am wanting to advance, but would rather work at my own pace, and on my own time and not have to wait on a long waiting list for a transitional class. I also plan to work full time, and a 5 day week of 8 to 3 classes to a school that is over an hour away isn't ideal when wanting to work full time. I'd appreciate as much input as anyone can give to help me decide how to advance. Thanks.

I don't see why not. If the facility knows your Registered throught the states BON then you should have the right to put your title after your name whether or not you work there for free or pay. You earned that title, and should use it proudly. If you think it will cause a problem just talk to the Director of Nursing for that facility and see what he/she has to say about it.
