  1. Thanks mtsteehorse I got them. I didn't even think to look in the resource tab. My mind is so fried this week due to the overlap in nursing classes in addition to taking my Fine Arts elective this summer quarter. I just checked and those three are there. Thank you so much.
  2. Well here I am again for assistance with the Alden Library articles. I had issues in Week 1 with gaining access to the article on Alden. To make a long story short I can get into Alden but the links for the articles listed for Week 4 keeps downloading a professional development article that is not related to this course. My TA's only advice adjust has been to adjust my firewall settings or contact Tech Support which has been no help in this regard. This where I need a kind soul's help. If someone would be willing to email me the Alden articles for this week I would really appreciate. I have been trying to get this matter resolved and no one seems to have an answer and I can't wait any longer unfortunately. Michelemybelle was kind enough to help me out week 1. I need the Basics Genetic and Genomies, Extra DNA, Sperm Meets Ovum and the Trinucleotide articles that are listed on Alden. I don't think I have enough posts to use PM yet so if someone could email to me I would be most grateful. My email is [email protected]. Cannot wait for this class to be over!! Thanks again!
  3. I got them Michelle. Thank you so much you just saved my life. Just heard back from my TA and he instructed me to contact tech support...well I don't have time for that. He could've at least emailed me the articles as well lol. Anyways I got them now thank you thank you!!!
  4. Hello Fellow NRSE 325-ers. So glad I found this thread as I need your help!!! I for some reason cannot access the Pender readings that are required for Discussion Post #1. I follow the links in the discussion board post instructions and all the Pender readings show up on the ALICE online catalog. Pender intro and chapters 1, 2, 5. Every time I click on any of those links I put in my PID like I'm instructed to and and pdf file downloads. Well the pdf I get is some article about Professional Associations written by Patricia Thompson and Ramon Lavandero. This is the same pdf that comes up for all the Pender links listed on the online catalog. I have emailed my TA with no response regarding this and posted it on my section QA board asking for advice and have gotten no response. Would anyone be willing to email the Pender articles to me so that I can complete my discussion? Or if anyone has advice on how to remedy this I would appreciate it. I can't use the PM yet as I don't have enough posts. My email is [email protected]. Thanks again!!!
  5. I'm in Prof F's Business Comp. class and I already don't like it. I haven't even finished reading the book yet. Plugging away at it now and hope to finish and start the book report tomorrow. I've never written a book report so this will be interesting to say the least. Really just want this class to be over with.
  6. My health objective was cancer. I take business communication this winter quarter along with Legal/Ethical Issues the first 5 weeks and then Nursing Research the second 5 weeks. I just hope business comp. isn't too time consuming of a class. I start a new job working nights in two weeks. I know I can handle the NRSE class but don't want to be bogged down with a ton of lengthy, mind numbing papers in Business Comp. because I HATE writing papers. My instructor is "Professor F" so guess I will have to wait and see how it goes! Glad to hear that business comp. was your favorite class, knowing that helps.
  7. I took NRSE 341 Community Health this past Summer. I actually really enjoyed this class. Like deltaroxxy said it's a bit of a "busy" class but very doable. So far for me personally NRSE 341 has been one of my favorite classes. You will have weekly assignments, one quiz per week and one discussion board post with 2 peer responses. The weekly assignments for the most part aren't bad and you are given a pre-made template that you will fill in. I think one week as the assignment you had to write a paper instead of using a pre-made template. The directions for this course are clear and not confusing at all. The weekly quizzes aren't bad either. The content of the quizzes are based on that week's reading and my TA would give us a study guide for that week's quiz. The discussions weren't bad either. None of this mini essay crap just a couple paragraphs. Of course the content of this class could change between when I took it to when it is offered again. This class really opens up your eyes to the health issues in the county where you live and how it compares on a state and national level. You also get to choose a HealthyPeople 2020 National Health Objective that pertains to your community and that health objective will be the basis to most of your assignments. Really good class and I really enjoyed it. I felt like I actually learned something in this class.
  8. Glad to hear everyone made it through 325. Really not looking forward to taking that class next summer. I take my PSY 120 (Statistics) final on Monday at OU-Lancaster. Then in January it's on to 335-Legal/Ethical Issues and will also be taking the Business Composition course this winter quarter to fulfill the Jr. Comp requirement. Only other non-nursing course I have to take is a Fine Arts course. I really hope they offer the 5 week music class in the spring. I noticed it was offered for the Academic Outreach students for winter quarter, but I'm an Online Bachelor's Completion student so really hoping they offer that class to "my group" in either the spring or summer. Hope everyone enjoys their break
  9. Hello fellow bobcats!! Been stalking this thread for awhile so I figured I could actually join and start to contribute. I started OU's program in June and have to say so far the experience has been good. I'm only taking one nursing class at a time but I tested out of Health Appraisal earlier this week yay!!! I'm currently coming up on the home stretch in statistics. I took statistics (PSY 120) this fall quarter, but instead of taking it online in 5 weeks I chose to take it over 10 weeks at Ohio University's regional campus in Lancaster, Ohio. So glad I chose the traditional class route for stats class. I feel it worked better for me and luckily enough I live in commuting range of a regional campus. So no nursing classes for me until winter quarter and just a few more weeks of stats. Testing out has worked out well because I'm stating a new job next month so this will give me time to adjust to my new work schedule before starting up with school again.
