  1. I’m in the FNP concentration. I absolutely love the theoretical foundation class and if you can choose Prof. Vietz and Prof. Weinel! They’re both wonderful. For Bio I have Scola and NO COMMENT ?
  2. Unfortunately I would have to agree with all of this. I started 3/15 and I’ve had it. BIO 669 is the worst. You’re basically teaching yourself. No matter how much you study you get a horrible grade. I’d like to think I’m smart but I score horribly on every quiz and test. I’m currently sitting at a 72 and 73 needed to pass. Praying I pass so I can forget about this horrible class.
  3. I'm starting at NKU but for FNP. It seems intense! Good luck no matter which school you choose.
  4. I'm in the same boat! The program I'm in now we can't get 2 C's or less than 83%. No rounding up either. None of the jobs I've had, have asked me for transcripts.
  5. Thank you! It is a bit fast paced but I'm excited. I'm bored in my current job.
  6. I got in!! I start 3/15/2021. I'm so excited
  7. Okay let me know when you apply! Hopefully we can start together. I just got a call that everything was in and I should look out for an email. The wait is killing me ugh
  8. Hi I’ve seen mixed reviews that’s wgu posted here a few weeks ago before I applied. I haven’t heard anything too bad aside from “teaching yourself” which honestly I did throughout nursing school. I’ve also been facebook stalking other students who have posted about it LOL. When do you plan on starting? I’m hoping for the 3/15/2021 start but I might change to January. I’m impatient LOL.
  9. They’re CCNE accredited. I applied and waiting to find out if I got into the FNP program.
  10. Good to hear! I have a few questions: how far along in the program are you? Do you feel like you’re teaching yourself? Also how are the classes and testing structured?
  11. Hi! I’m looking into this program. Would you go through it again if you had too? I’m seeing mixed reviews.
  12. Ally any updates? Contemplating this school because they’re available in Florida but I can’t find much information. The reviews are so so ?.
  13. If this is the director interview there will be lots of situational questions: Think of a time where you had to deal with a difficult patient/family how did you handle it? What did you learn? Think back to a time where someone misinterpreted what you said and how did you handle it? Think of a time where you had to go above and beyond to make a patient happy? How would you handle a situation if a physician disrespected you in front of a patient? How would you handle a situation if you witnesses your preceptor or charge nurse doing something unethical or could cause harm to a patient? Bottom line it's all about patient safety. Good luck!
  14. I scored a 96% on the ATI predictor, we also had the Virtual ATI and I got the green light. I passed the NCLEX with with 75 questions at almost 2 hours. I also used Uworld for a month and also some questions on Kaplan.
  15. Uworld for sure! Helped me pass in 75 questions.
  16. Since you're a single mom and will be making minimal income, you should be able to qualify for Medicaid and additional assistance while in school. Good luck and congratulations!
  17. theyre selling bundles now? Wow. When we started we were the first class to go to 4 semesters so we were the Guinea pigs. It looks like they overhauled the whole program so I'm not quite sure. When we had pharm we had Prof. Fairfield and he was wonderful. We didn't need the textbook. He taught and we took notes. It looks like they're teaching it online now which is crazy to me...I'm still using his notes!
  18. I used UWorld, our school provided Virtual ATI (I disliked this personally), and Kaplan for A weekend. I passed 75 questions, and it took me a little under 2 hours. I read each question VERY carefully and multiple times.
  19. I just graduated and the only thing you need is ATI. No need to buy the codes the school provides it. It's included in tuition. Much success to you!
  20. I'm testing the same day and averaging 56%. Hope it's enough
  21. Good to know there's that option! I have bad test anxiety as well so this sounds like a good idea.
  22. okay I see. I do hope you pass! Will keep my fingers crossed :)
  23. I haven't taken the test yet and I don't want to be rude but how do you run out of time? Isn't there a clock telling you how much is left?
  24. OP how far are you through nursing school? I'm also curious as to why you felt the need to write that in your evaluation. Did the other students feel the same way? Also you keep saying that you weren't impressed...maybe the nurses weren't impressed with you either. As students we need to tow a very fine line when in comes to clinical experience especially since you work at an attached facility.
